I did think more of Juanma early on because he had more controlled agression. Now he seems a little more wide open. Cabs is useless and I always thought that.

He seemed better in the past because he was fighting generic tomato cans. Now that he has stepped up to name brand tomato cans he is having trouble.

He has regressed a bit but needs to sharpen up his basic skills and his defense for sure, plenty of talent and could still beat anyone at 126 potentially.

True enough. I did think he was basic but atleast he looked like he had a plan. Now he just wings it. There are only two guys I see right now that can be that wreckless and **** guys out are Rios and Canelo. If Juanma goes up in weight his career is over. He's quite the heavy bag these days

lol, Canelo and Rios will have their wake up calls soon enough. Yea Juanma has always seemed like a punching bag to me. People like him no matter what he does.

I had to hear people talk all this **** about what he(JuanMa) would do to Gamboa blah blah blah

don't get me wrong JuanMa is still a very good fighter and I think he PROBABLY beats Salido in a rematch, but he still can't beat Gamboa...and BOB ARUM KNEW THAT which is why he never wanted to make that fight...had nothing to do with "BUILDING UP THE FIGHT" and it being "TOO EARLY"

but I am a fan of JuanMa also and I think he will bounce back from his loss, might actually make him an even better fighter

That's a reasonable take on the situation. Arum definitely didn't want juanma in there with Gamboa.

JuanMa needs to learn to be more calculated/smart when he is going in for the kill. He gets reckless and looks amateur at times with his "defense."

I personally, have a hard time watchin his fights lately cause he always seems 2 seconds away from getting KTFO with his chin up in the air while throwing his bombs. Not good.

                    Cotto is levels above JuanMa.

so he would have preferred a non top rank fighter beat a top rank fighter when he had the option to keep all the money in house? right.
