Comments Thread For: Samuel Peter-Manuel Quezada in Talks For September

Ivyalo Gotzev, manager of former WBC heavyweight Samuel Peter (34-5, 27KOs), advised BoxingScene.com that he's speaking with promoter Dan Goossen about a possible crossroads fight against Manuel Quezada (29-7, 18KOs). September is the target month for the fight, says Gotzev. If Peter were to lose, even Gotzev admits his fighter might have to call it a day. Peter was stopped in his last two ring appearances, against Robert Helenius and Wladimir Klitschko. And Quezada has dropped his last three, including a decision loss to Chris Arreola.

this is a good fight between 2 guys at the crossroads.sometimes these can be great fights because of the position both guys are in.peter should win this fight but you never know.his confidence could be down but losing to wlad & helenius isnt something to be ashamed of.peter is now the frontline gatekeeper to the division.he's had a nice career to this point.many bigfight paydays & a world title.he still can be a viable opponent if he wishes to continue.

              I like Sam Peter.

He always tries to KO his opponents, and he never runs. He's only ever lost to top heavyweights.

Good news that he'll be back, he can still be a good gatekeeper.

Respect to Sammy Peter, who had the stones to fight the K-Bros three times when others were avoiding them. He paid the price, and now he gets dissed by people who don't have even half of his courage.
