Oh, well I think the Margarito and DLH fights were total crap and nothing like the threat that Sergio Martinez would be at 154 (Margarito being ****tier than DLH.) Pavlik is huge and looks like a ****ing cruiser weight compared to Sergio, and that fight is one of Sergio's trademark performances. Exactly, Pac and FMJ need to fight the top guys at 147 until they retire. If FMJ is serious about what he says, we might actually get to see that.

I would love to see Serg get a Floyd/Pac fight but the logic there using to not got up is ******ed!! 154 realistically is too big for both Floyd/Pac...Floyd doesn't carry his punch good at 147 and Pac more than likely is going to make him come down to 150-152 so he should look north if he cant get Cotto.
The difference is both Floyd/Pac are still at 147 comfortably with hot 140lb guys looking to come up...Serg is looking south when theres big fights waiting at 168...there's a lot of exciting fights for him up there.Comment

OK, whatever 150. But on fight night Margarito was 170. Are you going to dispute that?
And I find it funny when people on here talk about Martinez picking on guys smaller than him, isn;t Manny fighting Marquez at 147? That fight is a joke. Marquez was a career 126 pounder, Marquez is not even a natural light weight much less a 140 or 147 pounder.
You all must think I am a Manny hater, I am not. I think his run as a fighter has been historic. But I call it how I see it. And what I see is Manny fighting a damaged Margarito, an ancient Mosley, and ancient and out of his weight class Marquez. So, how is it unfair of Martinez calling out Manny when Manny himself is fighting a natural featherweight. You'll probably say well he fought Marquez before, and I';; say yeah he did, years and several weight classes ago.Comment

lol, none of these fighters are innocent. Manny is probably the worst cherry picker in the sport right now. He hasn't fought ANYONE serious since Cotto! The Marquez fight upsets me. Talk about not fair to Marquez. This fight doesn't settle anything as far as I'm concerned.OK, whatever 150. But on fight night Margarito was 170. Are you going to dispute that?

The only positive thing about this fight is that Marquez will get a nice payday. He desrves it. I think the one thing that people on this forum forget is how much money is the biggest influence on who they fight.lol, none of these fighters are innocent. Money is the determining factor for Manny, Floyd, and Sergio. It's not about weight, or frame, or whatever. It's about money. Why is Marquez fighting Manny at 147? Money. Marquez would fight Manny if the fight was contracted at 200 pounds.Comment

What would Floyd/Pac be sacrificing? Seeing that size isn't on their side...not saying that I don't want them to fight Serg but neither Floyd/Pac made it to 154 when they fought for those titles. Floyd was 150 and Pac was 148 I think!!!The optimal weight for a fighter to be comfortable fighting at isnt just about height. Its about his frame, his strength to weight ratio, and just where he feels he is comfortable at. SMW is a little big for Sergio. Sad how everyone has to rag on every little thing a fighter does, on here. The guy would rather go down in weight then up. Thats his choice. WTF. I just wanna see some good fights. Hes definitely kinda small to be matched with guys @ SMW and others who are LHW who bounced down to SMW. IF he can make 154, and there is fights there, then why wouldnt he do it. He probably sacrifice too much speed going to 168, which is one of his greatest assets.
I understand his goal but if Serg isn't willing to give up his advantages why should Floyd/Pac? Dare to be great goes both ways.Comment

doesnt matter if tony was 170. how much did manny weigh? a measly 148 for a supposedly JMW fight and that's stuffing him already! and that's why they decided they'd go back down, 150 is too much. and this was decided BEFORE serg blasted pwill. if you choose to ignore this fact, i cant help you.OK, whatever 150. jmm and manny both came from the lower weights, with manny even much much lower. maybe you just choose also not to see that they are very similar in weight and frame. even jmm is taller than manny. fight night, they'd be less than 5lbs apart.Comment

Height has nothing to do with anything. They came from lower divisions but so what. Manny has obviously been able to adapt as he's moving up. It's a god given gift, Marquez is barely holding is own at 135. The only thing that keeps Marquez successfull at 135 is his tremendous technical ability, other than that, he lack strength in his punches and is constantly being bullied around by guys like Diaz and others. And, his fight with Mayweather was a joke at 140. Marquez had no snap in his punches, no strengh, no nothing. It was a welter weight fighting a light weight.doesnt matter if tony was 170. how much did manny weigh? a measly 148 for a supposedly JMW fight and that's stuffing him already! and that's why they decided they'd go back down, 150 is too much. and this was decided BEFORE serg blasted pwill. if you choose to ignore this fact, i cant help you.

So, how can a normal thinking man thinkg that he;ll be able to compete at 147, if he looked like a shell of the fighter he is at 140. It's really common sense dude.
And if you can't see that or you're that biased towards Manny I CAN'T HELP YOU MY FREIND.
Because Marquez doesn't belong anywhere near 147. I don't care that if on fight night they eigh the same.Comment
