The only fighter that has come up 40 pounds is Manny, Floyd started his career at 130. Leonard also started his career at 135, and so did Duran, De La Hoya also started his career at 130, and wasn't he maxed out at 147? De La Hoya at the most was a welterweight, so was Jose Napoles.

Look, I am not saying Manny has to move up to fight Sergio, that his decision. What I am saying is that it's happend before.

All you guys knocking on Sergio for calling out Manny and Floyd and not the super middleweights are pretty dumb. Sergio Martinez is not an idiot, why in the world would he call out guys who at fight night are almost as big as cruiserweights and make a million or two, and not call out the biggest names in boxing and make over 5 millions. It's about exposure and money. And at 37 Sergio doesn't have much time. I never thought Oscar would have fought Hopkins, but he did, so maybe Floyd or Manny will take the bait.

The excuses never end with this guy.
What excuse has Martinez ever given? Get your head out of Manny's ass and talk coherently

Andre Ward has to worry about Lucian Bute before he worries about Martinez.

No one is actually serious about Sergio moving up to fight Ward. It is a statement meant to illustrate how ridiculous this whole thing is. All those guys you just mentioned have significantly larger frames than Mayweather and Pac. That is the truth. Pac and May would be at significant disadvantages relative to what those guys were dealing with in terms of their size discrepancies. Just look at how tall those guys were realtive to may and pac. Duran is the only one around the same height and he was very stocky.

Really, do you think Oscar has a bigger frame than Mayweather? Really? Because Oscar got man handled at 154. His punches had no power at 154. As a matter of fact, I think the best weight for De La Hoya would have been 140 pounds. He was dominant at these lower weight classes, he wasn't so dominant at 147.

Do you also think that Roberto Duran had a much bigger frame? Roberto Duran was a lightweight until he was 30!! Did you see Duran fight Hagler or Barkley at 160? Cuz the man didn't look like he had a 160 pound frame.

I think Ward beats Froch, but Bute is a different fighter all together.

Why does everyone think Mayweather is so big? And yes, Oscar is bigger than Floyd. You just refuse to hear anything anyone is saying. You think Martinez is God's gift to the earth and really think he is actually more talented than Mayweather and Pac. You would love to see an unfair fight between them I have no doubt. Duran is the only one I will concede is reasonably close to Mayweather or Pac in size but that's it. Regardless of whether or not he is, the point which I have repeatedly tried to make is that they should not feel forced into the fight. It makes no sense for them and would be a bull**** victory for the others. And yes, if these other ATG fighters were beating guys who had no experience in their weight division, I'm not so sure I'd be willing to give them full credit.

What exactly is your point? That Mayweather and Pac have not skipped enough divisions? They haven't accomplished enough?

Ward will put on a boxing clinic.
