No doubt the fastest two guys at 168lbs going at it, this matchup could be pretty explosive.
I wouldn't cathegorize Bute as a speedster or a fast fighter. Not at all. I think Ward is far faster than Bute and possibly faster than Dirrell as well. Bute may give you movement, but fast? No.

Andre Dirrell is a one of the top fighters in the super middleweight division. He will need to build up to Bute though. No way is he ready after having more than a year off. If he gets himself back into fight shape after a tune up or two, he could make an interesting fight with Bute. I mean this side of Ward he has the best movement and that is a style we really haven't seen Lucian face yet.

But didn't he pull out to avoid fighting his buddy Andre Ward not Kessler?

I'll give Dirrell a lot of credit if he steps in against Bute but don't think his people will let him do it....

No fans for Dirrell-No TV or Cable-looks like small venues for his restart of a meaningless career. He should stay around Detroit and fight. Dead slum city and dirrell a dead dumb fighter.
          Boxing should bypass this loser.

Would a coward like Bute take this?

This is actually a reasonably smart move by Team Dirrell imho.

A win over Bute puts him right back in the mix, and it is a good style matchup.

But I'm not sure where Dirrell's head is at right now ?

He is not mentally conditioned like, say Ward.

All of those guys pose more threat to Bute than the limited Pavlik.

Bute vs Dirrell would be great fight. I'd have to say Dirrell would give Bute problems, I can't remember the last time Bute fought a pure boxer? Personally, Dirrell was better than Ward, but given the two's track record currently...Ward IMO is becoming the better boxer. Dirrell, off the bat against the likes of Ward, Bute, or Kessler would not be a good choice. Maybe after a fight or two, then we can assess Dirrell.
Ward is not only " further along " in his develoment, he is a much more well-rounded fighter than Dirrell. He has better ring maturity and composure. But yep, I agree, and I think that fight would be a good style match-up for Dirrell.

                    A " monster " ?

                    Nobody knows ?

Brinkley thinks so, but I'm not so sure.

The signposts are up, but the road could be a dead-end.

This isn't really relevant, but Golovkin knocked him out in the am's, and Golovkin looked reasonably limited in that fight..... we just need to see more against better quality opposition imho.

NO DAMN WAY Bute Fights Dirrell anytime soon

Bute is playing it safe until the winner of Froch vs Ward
