I wouldn't mind seeing him face Jermain Taylor, to see how they've both come back from the lay offs. The winner would be in a good position to face whichever one of Bute/Kessler doesn't fight the Super Six winner.

Very wishful thinking there, but it's something Dirrell could perhaps aim for.
No Jermaine Taylor. After 3 brutal k.o.s, the chances already of him getting Alzheimers is about 80%, according to experts. Even if he were to win against Dirrell without much damage, the likely hood of him receiving even more damage down the line against the fighters you mentioned is pretty inevitable. Does Taylor even have a promotional company willing to back him? Last we heard, Lou was unwilling to support him fighting any longer.

Although it would be an interesting match up, the chances of a fight between Dirrell and Bute being a real stinker is pretty great IMO. Both use A LOT of movement and rely heavily on counter punching. The combination of those two things usually ends up being a very tactical and extremely boring type of fight. But you are right, I doubt that Bute would have an "easy time" against Dirrell.

I agree with you that both are very talented, however I don't know how exciting a fight between the two would end up being. Either way, Bute does need to step up his opposition or risk never being taken seriously by hardcore boxing fans.

This is further proof that Dirrell is nothing but a liar. Its nice that he wants to get back into the sport but there is nothing that suggests he deserves to start at the top by facing Bute, who would k.o him anyway.

He needs to get back in line and prove he's worthy before any network spends any money on him again.

Dirrell vs Bute would be a fight I would very much like to see.

No doubt the fastest two guys at 168lbs going at it, this matchup could be pretty explosive.

Well said! If you're gonna play the neurological head injury card, fine, but when you come back then Friday Night Fights is your venue; no soup for you on Saturday nights by HBO or Showtime. Then after three or four 10 rd fights you may have worked your way back up to a 12 rd, championship fight. No shortcuts Motor City Head Injury, get in line and put the work & rounds in.

Dirrell deserves nothing-NOTHING the American boxing fan has forgotten about the yellow skinned one. best guess is showtime and HBO also have dropped the loser dirrell from all plans. Let this bum start out fighting foru rounders again. There is no fan base no interest in seeing dirrell again. best guess try barber college. dropping out against ward doomed this loser and his meaningless career. bye bye

I don't understand why so much Dirrel hate?

He took an illegal hit from Abraham, in result, he took some time off... He couldn't face Ward because of the effects from the illegal hit

                  What's the big issue?

WOW!!! Awesome! Although his departure was a bit suspect (especially before the most meaningful fight of his career i.e., Ward) it's good to see him back.

Bute vs Dirrell would be great fight. I'd have to say Dirrell would give Bute problems, I can't remember the last time Bute fought a pure boxer? Personally, Dirrell was better than Ward, but given the two's track record currently...Ward IMO is becoming the better boxer. Dirrell, off the bat against the likes of Ward, Bute, or Kessler would not be a good choice. Maybe after a fight or two, then we can assess Dirrell.

This is pure and utter nonsense!!!!!! Not even Dirrell is drinking his own koolaid, now way he dares step into the ring with a monster like Bute.

Until proven otherwise, Dirrell has lost all credibility with this fan. Even if the injury is real.... he mislead and mishandle fans with the fantasy that was his supposed match with Andre.
