I don't know about you guys, but this looks like a potential super-fight a few years down the road. Power and speed vs Ridiculous speed.

@ 126 Don will be fighting someone closer to his natural size. He will have less power, his speed wont be as impressive and the guys he will be fighting will have more punch resistance.

Russell is already faster than Donaire and he is heavier, so it would be Donaire who would have to train harder to keep his speed and power.

    Russell whoops him. Easily.

Russell is far from ready. He don't have the experience.

It's easy for a good prospect to look fantastic against inferior opposition. Lets not get carried away.

Russell will most likely be fantastic in the future. But hes not been tested at all.

I think you might be right, but I think Nonito has a very large frame and could probably go even higher than 126 at some point. That is the only reason I think it could be a good match. Russell is phenomenal though. I don't know if there is anyone that can beat him around 126 to be quite honest, unless his chin proves to be ****ty.

Russells reach is only 61″? I'm going purely out of boxrec info on that one, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have no clue, but they have been wrong before. Yea I must admit, I'm jumping the gun a little on Russell, but his speed really is impressive. I want to see his chin tested, and I want to see him against better opposition.

I'd have to go with Donaire at the moment

                What about Russel Gamboa?

I'm super impressed with Russel, but Donaire is flat out an amazing boxer, with great counters, and bouncy feet.

And Donaire has Conte in his corner. Ever since Conte came into his corner, Nonito became even nastier, so I think he will move up in weight and retain all his power and speed, and maybe even become more impressive.

I'm one of Nonitos biggest haters, but Donaire destroys Russell at this point.

gamboa would beat donaire thats for sure......

when donaire doesn't have a size or a speed advantage he'll look very average....

                    i don't know about russell...

but lets say russell is the goods (meaning he has a solid chin & is everything he looks to be at a championship level)

i would pick him over donaire too.....trust me. donaire doesn't like guys that are much quicker then himself.
