    Pacman W53 D2 L3

    Mayweather W41 D0 L0

Take into account of when Mayweather fought Oscar and when Pacman did. How dominant did mayweather look against Marquez, Did manny do a good a job. Also, i thought that the mosley vs mayweather fight was better to watch than pacman and mosley. Floyd wins and looks good.

you weren't impressed when a former flyweight world champion one punch jello'd the best 140 lber since costya tszyu ?

thats the best pacquiao i've seen. scary speed and power
and he was so sharp on that night
    so ****in sharp

matchmaking has tamed the lion a bit of late
his first few round with cotto were awesome as well

    and lets not forget
he was a huge dog against oscar
lots of people were picking him to get knocked out (after all, the biggest guy he ever fought was david diaz, and he looked a bit off on that night even though he ripped diazo face apart and hardly got hit)

but most of the people here haven't been watching boxing that long, bro
    sorry to bust ya bubble!

The big deal about the Oscar fight is that Oscar tried to cherry pick a lightweight, and very few thought Pac would kill Oscar like that.

Joshua Clottey threw nearly the same amount of punches that Mosley did against Mayweather.

Barrera and Morales are better fighters than anyone Floyd has ever fought. Marquez might be as well. Don't even compare the Marquez Floyd fought to the one Pacquiao fought in the first two fights and then try and bash the Oscar Pacquiao fought compared to the one Floyd fought.

Marquez has a case for winning both fights, but Pacquiao has just as much a case.

Pacquiao, even with his recent run of crap fights, can easily be called the p4p #1 fighter in the world and has an inarguably better career than Mayweather.
Thanks for saving me the trouble

Bh has a better career than Floyd, so lets not even get started with trying to compare Floyd to Pac.

There are many unbeaten boxers presently plying their trade, and they arent in the same class as Pac, for the same reason Floyd isnt in the same class.

It's simple. Pacs wins in barrera, jmm and morales is better than anything floyd has. And for sure better than anything martinez has had.

hes padded the record with some other really solid wins like Cotto and hatton and beating much bigger men in margs and clottey.

I agree that his rise in weights is overrated seeing as he fights stylistically very favorable matchups against somewhat faded opponents. But his run at lighter weightclasses is really awesome and should be highly respected by anyone.

I remember people claming Mayweather wouldnt fight Baldomir the true welterweight champion and that Hatton was the true champ at 140. Once he beat both of those guys. They became bums in the eyes of HBO broadcaters and here on BS. But when Manny beat those same guys he was legendary. Please be unbiased because if we are being honest how did Manny get past the 140 class and not fight Bradley, Khan, Petersen, Alexander, Juan Diaz, Nate Campbell, Kindall Holt or numerous others. Does David Diaz and a once beaten Ricky Hatton sell you on Mannys accomplishments. I think not.
WTF is this!?! 3 "maybe if they're very lucky" HOF'ers vs 2 certified ATG'!?!

They were all older and on their last legs at those weights though. How the hell does that make them better than when Mayweather fought at lightweight against prime guys like Corrales and Castillo? Eriks last good win at lightweight was against Manny. After that he took loss after loss. Barrera hasn't been consistent since quitting against Manny the first time. And Pac's draw and win over JMM were both controversial, there is a reason *******s hate JMM so much.

Maybe he has the wool pulled over your eyes, not mine.

Pac is a great fighter, no question. Great, remarkable fighter.

He just simply isn't as great as most of his fans, nuthuggers, or the media think he is.

I think It's quite unfair to say Barrera was on "his last leg" for the first fight. He went on to beat Ayala and Morales (hmm) and 3 years later beat Juarez. So he was not at all over the hill.

Things could be said for the morales wins, i myself do not consider them as good as i would have a little prior, but still the second fight was a very solid win.

The JMM fights were controversial? And you're saying the Castillo fight wasn't?

I'm not being biased or have "wool pulled over my eyes". In fact i would cheer for Floyd if they ever fought.
I just try to be as fair as i can, without agendas.
If I'm being wrong just in a way to support my fighter/arguments I'm just a ****ing moron.

This, for sure is true. Especially the media has been on a frenzy and is at a large degree responsible for him entering peoples ridiculous "top10 ATG!!!" lists.

Agreed. I dont hate the man. He has a great resume on paper. One of best IMO. But in reality, he avoided alot of must see fights in favor of easier fights and the accolades he gets for that are just disgusting.

I almost think they had Pac flee the lightweights so fast to get away from newer talent like Valero. Once Valero started caling out Manny Top Rank and Freddie had him up fighting geezers, catchweights and Clottey in no time.
