in boxing there are 3 positions

A>B>C

A- inside- literally face to face

b> jabbing distance

c> just outside the other guys punching distance

a master of C to B boxing would be Wlad- excellent jab, great movement, great power- brialliant strategy because of his longer jab

Floyd is maybe the only boxer who is confident and safe in any A, B or C position because of how good his defense is

he doesn't use his jab enough- but its excellent
he controls distance really well
his movement is superb- in the mosely fight- moseley was contsantly trying to move himseld into an A>B fight. money kept him at C, darted in for a few shots and pushed him back- beat moseley in every single way

manny on the other hand is a pure C fighter- he likes to throw combos and flurries in the B position and then move himself out of the way- i think this is down to freddie roach's training- manny himself mentally is more of a haggler/benn type of fighter who wants to trade continuously in the B>A position- he leaves himself to open to uppercuts and counters to be effective there

amir khan is very similar- the difference is that amir's C transition isn't great- he has improved but his leg movement isn't as good as his hand speed and movements

another thing about floyd is his mental game- he never panics (confidence from never "losing"- some would disagree to that) if he's pressured into the A positon (probably the only way he can be beaten) he rarely loses his concentration- he's out of danger fast- and his shoulder roll/guard make him hard to hit cleanly even in that position

for example- against DLH- oscar threw flurries but they barely made any impact and none really landed anyway- this was against the ropes in an A position and floyd was as cool as ice
