The translation in the article gets it wrong. What Miranda said was: "When I arrived in Las Vegas last night, I looked up at the stars and they were all aligned. And I could see myself up there, aligned with them." Then he turns to Despaigne and says, "But I didn't see you.... What happened, my friend?"
(Where Edison gets the idea that he's a star, or anything remotely close to it, is a mystery to me.)
