Ok, thats great that Cotto and Hatton want to fight Floyd, but they don't want to do it RIGHT NOW. So Floyd is going to move up to 147 to fight Mitchell and Judah. Then he will fight Hatton or Cotto if they are ready.

Hatton wants to fight Mayweather in the Summer of 2006', That's only 8-9 months away. Mayweather hasn't fought anyone genuine World class sine his 2nd Castillo fight way back in 2002'. If Mayweather has been this long without fighting someone proper then I'm sure he can wait another 8 months.

I've just got this bad feeling that Mayweather will move to 147lbs and doesn't have any intention of ever going back to 140lbs.

It'll be like the super-lightweight division never exsisted in his career... And most annoying of all is that it's the one division that is packed full of talent.

Nice..Mitchell is still a threat, I havent seen him fight since the Tszyu loss, But I know he is slick and is a south paw and is still quick. Mayweahter can put the smash on anyone in his devision Hatton and Cotto arent ready for him right now, now at 147 when he meet Zab, wow..thats a dream match, what a fight..

this makes me angry, it sounds like pbf is taking the roy jones route and go out of the deepest division in boxing: hatton, cotto, castillo

but he is right in asking tons of money to go and fight hatton in uk

hatton already said he d like to come to us, there should be no problem with that

pffffff... mitchell... this is ridiculous, I mean a fight with zab would be ok, but mitchell... who is gonna watch it, he is old, out of it

This is ridiculous. Floyd needs to get in there with the likes of Hatton, and Cotto before moving up. ****ing ridiculous that this fight is being made. At the very least, go after Zab for more money, then come down after winning to face Hatton and Cotto, or call them up to your current weight.

No matter what, those fights HAVE to be made.

Also, sorry for the thread I made, I didn't see this.

Yeah, I was thinking about that today. Looks like he's taking the Roy Jones Jr way where he wants to be known as such a great p4p fighter, taking no risks, just fights where he KNOWS he will win and secure his legacy.

I was first going to post some stuff about Hatton and stuff like that, but honestly, I agree with Martin (shocking isn't it?). I think Mayweather should fight better people as well, I just don't know who would have been available for him to fight at that date in the 140lb. division. Let's not forget that he's moving to 147 and is first fighting a play it safe opponent.

I will watch the fight, though.
I'm a Mayweather fan and not watching it would be dirty.
Hopefully he starts off 2006 with a **** before going on to fight Hatton in the summer.

Hmmm... like the rest of you I'd rather be watching Mayweather v Hatton or Kosta, however if this is all we get for now then I guess I can live with it.

I predict a win for Mayweather via KO in the 8th.

P4P #1 baby, this is just another megafight to secure the legacy. C'mon, you can all agree that this is big challenge for PBF especially coming off his tough last 5 fights (Sosa, N'dou, Corley, Bruseles, Gatti). PBF deserves a few more easy fights after that tough schedule.

Why, this is so special, it may even be on PPV and attract a few dozen buys.

P4P #1 - you know he earned it and deserves it.
