Nacho - time, keep eating....this guy showed potential at one point, I dislike em cuz he let it all go to waste....

thing is he went threw that phase where he was just reckless, did a lot of things that if he could change and do better he would, he burned a lot of bridges with promoters. a lot of insider guys who would be able to get him big fights don't want to work with him anymore, that's why when the Lemieux fight came up for him he snatched it so quick because that was his biggest pay day in a while, he literally didn't train he just went in there regular for Lemieux because the fight was in short notice and instead of passing on it until he was 100% ready his team convinced him to take the fight knowing he wasn't ready just for the money and you basically saw what happened

this time though he has a better course of action, he's training hard and trying to make a legit Welterweight run, he can take Malignaggi, Spinks, lovemore N'dou and a couple other notables and get a nice big pay check. you guys shouldn't write him off just yet, give him some time to redeem himself and you'll see he might just make a believer out of you

that program he got going for the kids though is official, he's basically taking young kids 14-22 with little to no Boxing experience and he's trying to breed fighters while at the same time take the kids out of negative situations they might be facing in their lives whether it be violence or drug dealing and introducing them to Boxing to make a difference in my community. the man is all class as a person, you guys would really take back the hate if ya met him because he's really a good dude with a good head he just made a lot of mistakes coming up

Well he certainly will have a better chance at 147 than 160, I just never thought he could be a world class talent even early on in the early 00's when I first saw him.

keep sleeping on my boy, I know him personally and I can tell you he's a newly invigorated fighter, I can't wait for this one. he didn't even train for Lemieux, he literally took that fight for the money and he had the wrong mind set going in, his people just talked him into that fight for the money and didn't even prepare him how they were supposed to. I happen to know that for sure, you can believe me or not that's up to you but I been here since '07 and not once have I ever been known to talk bullshit, the man is ready to make one more final run at a meaningful fight, I'm not saying he's going to KO Manny Pacquiao but he still got some money left to make in Boxing believe that

I've seen him since he was a baby, being carried into the ring by Hector Senior, and in fact Jr. has a top class boxing brain. He just lacked the drive and tenacity to succeed no matter what. When it got tough he folded. The first time it showed was against "Jesse James" Leija, when he pretended he couldn't see and had the fight declared an NC. Jesse James had been beating him to the punch all along and he didn't like it. it was obvious he hadn't trained. Then a couple of fights later against Omar Weiss, he didn't make weight by quite a bit, and hardly lifted a glove the whole 10 rds. Until then he was unbeaten I think, and suddenly he seemed to throw it all away, as if he'd suddenly gone crazy. I was sure he was going to be a champion. I was a strong admirer of Hector Senior, as being the fastest and most ferocious fighter I'd seen, and hoped that Jr. was a chip off the old block. By then Senior was just waltzing through inferior opponents to make a few dollars and I think it showed Jr. a bad example of how to make a living with little or no exertion.

If even a fighter threw away his potential it was Hector Junior, more than anyone I know. So I hope ypu are right that he is serious this time.

believe me man he is serious this time, whether or not it's too late remains to be seen but he is serious about this fight and also very serious about that kids program in Harlem. he's a good dude, I hope everything goes according to his plans.

against Leija he was just not in that bout mentally, he was there just to be there in a way, he could have destroyed Leija if only he had trained to his full potential, he was too laid back and care free in a way because of the celebrity treatment he got early on, even now he can show up to a Boxing event and get in free just because so many people love him

when I tell you he didn't train at times I mean literally he didn't bother to train, that's like YOU going into a professional fight against someone like Weiss and you don't do no intense training, just the basics.

he literally came in like 7 pounds overweight and they verbally took a dump on him for that so he was like fuck y'all and came back instead 10 pounds even more overweight on the scales, he was supposed to lose the weight and come back and instead he put on like 10 more pounds lolz.

he wound up having to take a 12,500$ penalty and the fight moved on, that's just how he is yo you can't tell him what to do if you want results out of him and also he had a lot of guys with hidden interests letting him be that way and not humbling him down but I can see he a changed up dude

he lost the Weiss fight but there's a few others where he literally didn't train much and he actually won the fight. he's like the only fighter in history to win more than 50 fights without even trying his hardest, that's pretty damn incredible
