I'm not hating on Alexander, I want him to do well.

I find it so frustrating that Cunningham and his team have made this ****** decision.
Maybe bc he really struggles to make weight. I doubt he is ducking any one especially since 147 will be more stacked in a year and more money will be made there if he can get a tittle.

People are saying they want to move up in weight to avoid the tough fights at 140.

The fights at 147 are going to be even harder with the division hotting up as you mention.
          i don't know.

maybe he struggle making weight at 140.

Obiously only the team knows if they were having weight issues, but I have never herd Cunningham make an excuse regarding weight. I think its a smart move. Besides Khan, Devon has already faced the top of the division where most of the money is.

An early jump to 147 makes it easier for him to get a title shot first with some of the the less known champ, and when the bigger names move up, he will have tons more leverage and guaranteed big fights if its for a title.

Alexander isn't that big. Even a smaller than average 140 pounder was bulling him around the ring. If anything, he needs to be moving down. Don't blame him too bad for wanting a soft touch, because Kotelnik, Bradley, Matthysse is about as tough a 3 fight strech a 140 pounder can ask for, but moving to 147when you can't handle 140 may not be smart.

I dunno if Alexander could have stuck around waiting for Bradley to be stripped and then fought for the strap.

That would have been a smart move but the other thing you have to put into this equation is Don King. When King is your promoter you just do what you're told and fight who you're fed, old school style.

Theres no way of shaping your own career unless you're willing to sit with King and hack it out with him and Devon doesn't have that kind of character and Kevin Williams is probably similar.

People need to stand up to promoters like King.
