    One fighter that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread is Ali. I don't know what kind of insurance he has, but I'm sure he's still paying on medical bills from damage suffered in the ring...

        the saddest story i've come across in boxing is joe louis


        he was the most iconic and patriotic personality in the states during the second world war

        and he finished his life bludgeoned with tax burdens. ****ing disgusting


        he was also profoundly affected by his boxing career late in life physically.
