Punchy and Broke - Boxing's Saddest Stories

I'm writing an article to get exposure for boxers that have gave their bodies up for our entertainment, and was hopful to get some pointers from the forum's collective intelligence.

Who are some boxers that have been high-school-prom ditched by the sport they gave everything to, and are there any organizations you know of that are established to help these guys and girls out??

    Thanks for helping out, friends.

James Toney has turned into a cautionary tale, he's totally punch-drunk now, eyes glazed, slurring and drooling. He can't (and shouldn't) get a big fight in boxing, and is reduced to farce matches with washed-up MMA fighters.

The Toney story is not going to end well, not at all.

I just read the Iran Barkley story, which was pretty quick, and it's criminal that these promotional companies can't figure something out after exploiting these guys.

Thanks for the feedback...makes me think about staying outside the ropes.
