No, just a couple fights ago Dawson got outpointed by Pascal. Bhop deserves alot of credit if he beats Dawson but no way does that boost him to number 1 spot. If Hopkins beat Dawson, then Ward I'd say he definitely deserves that spot. He'd probably have to meet Ward at like a catchweight of 170 or so.

B-Hop is a legend but beating Dawson should not be overrated. The light heavy division is very shallow, especially compared to the super middleweight division.
Now if B-Hop beat the winner of Froch-Ward next I might agree.
