Even Kotelnik thought he lost the fight, his reaction as the result was announced shows that he thought Maidana won. Maidana outworked him and landed the more hurtful shots.

I re watched it a few days ago, a underrated fight IMO with plenty of action and its weird because against Khan he hardly threw a punch.

It's how mythical boxers are born. This will be passed on, and in 25 years you will read about how Mayweather ducked Kotelnik in sparring.

He isn't flashy because of his high guard euro style so doesn't get the credit he deserves . He IMO beat Witter who is considered one of Bradley's best wins , beat the then highly touted No 2 ranked jr ww in alexander . He had a close fight with Maidana ( who I agree deserved the nod). That doesn't show me he is an average fighter . He isn't active because Don King signed him up to lose to Alexander and he's kept him on the sidelines

u can argue he beat alexander. but it was more like a draw imo. neither dominated the other and the rounds were very swingable. mathysse beat alexander more convincingly.

he beat witter. zab beat witter years ago when he was much more prime, at which time witter became a strictly euro level fighter again until he decided to step outta his shell much later.

Maidana is better than Berto. Maidana KO Ortiz, give good fights to Khan and Klotelnik. Who is the best win of Berto??
Berto is no one like Ortiz

Im surprised at the amount of people picking berto.. People really think Maidana is just some bum.

maidana never ko'ed ortiz. ortiz lost because of his lack of heart. he was winning that fight very clearly. difference betw. the two fights is ortiz was clearly stronger against berto and he refused to quit. wasnt like berto didnt catch him really good on a few occasions.

Zab beat witter when he was a prospect . Kotelnik beat him when he was better seasoned against better opposition .Judah shouldn't get the same credit as Kotelnik and Bradley did. Still any one who can beat or at worse draw / cause problems for those kinds of fighter certainly isn't average.

While I lean towards Ortiz for taking Berto's 0 (I believe Berto is better than Maidana), I also think Khan showed a lot of the things people thought he lacked, mainly the ability to take a punch. Two very good wins, but Ortiz's was slightly better.
