His slickness overrated. There has never been anything slick about Judah, his skills overrated. The man skills is average at best. He has/had speed and pop. But, that's more talent than skills. The man was just flashy plain and simple. And, people bought into that flashiness. But, he has/had no substance and was a mental midget to boot.

I'm pretty sure he will fight again. And, he might fight another top guy. Be 'reborn" again. And, some will buy into his hype once again and he will disappoint once again.

Oh and one last thing, how mad is HBO because Judah lost to a "****** from England"?
Three cheers to this post. He was overrated in his prime and now as a faded version, he's still being overrated. Goodbye, Zab. So long. I do not want to see you on TV again.

The problem is, too many over-praised and placed too much expectation upon him as a young man based solely on his natural athletic gifts.

You're right, he's never been a slick guy. Slickness is about how you put it all together, defence and offence with fluidity and a level of technical know-how. Zab's an unorthodox reflex/power fighter with technical limitations, a herky-jerky kinda fighter. If you put a world class guy in front of him who can 1.) adjust to and solve a problem early or 2.) just walk through and pressure him, Zab's done in the majority of cases (unless some specific variables go his way).

Think what Margarito would have done to Zab, sheeeeeeeeesh.

All that said, his gifts undoubtably made him a good fighter, just a level below the real elites of his era is all. And I've always rooted for Zab the person.

FWIW, I also think his old man should have been replaced in his corner much earlier. Not necessarily by Whitaker, but by someone who could work with his raw talent and offer calm motivation and practical counsel in the corner.

That would have been a destruction.

              wishful thinking, JRo

like some have said, he'll get back on ESPN because he has a name...beat a couple of C-level fighters and be back on HBO to be fed to another up and comer

Yikes. If Tony does one of his fast starts, Judah quits inside 2 rounds.

Zab's gotta a family to feed. He'll be back. Just not as a major attraction anymore. He's done his time. He gave a lot of fans hope.

I'm a Khan fan but to me Zab Judah is a C level fighter at best.
