Comments Thread For: Bradley: Forget Khan, I Want Pacquiao and Mayweather

  • The reasons don't matter, what matters is Bradley has openly admitted he decided not to fight Khan because he was afraid of losing to him. Bradley wanted to fight an easier opponent.

That is the very definition of ducking another fighter. Whether you think it is justified or not, is up to you, but it doesn't change the fact Bradley ducked Khan.

I guess its the right move to do so, but its kind of too obvious.

if bradley fought and beat khan he'd be in a much better position to leverage for a fight with mayweather or pacquiao
he's not a draw as it is.

if he was confident in his abilities against khan he would have fought him when he had the chance
his holding out is evidence that he's clearly not confident enough that he's willing to fight khan and risk the accolades and leverage that he'd get in victory against a defeat, which would completely destroy the opportunity to fight pacquiao or mayweather.

        bradley ducked khan
he didn't even hold out for more money
he outright said the risk wasn't worth the reward.

seeing khan on saturday i don't blame bradley
he's going to have a hard time winning rounds against a taller puncher with faster hands like that
and he's not a big puncher

i got a bet on the boards with my man executioner from a while back
and i'm not confident in it anymore!
Well you can't be confident since the fight won't happen anytime soon. I still think he beats Khan if they fight tomorrow. He just overall the better fighter IMO especially on the inside Khan is long and will try to stay on the outside but if Maidana can get on the inside I have no doubt a much more skilled quicker fighter in Bradley can get on the inside.

and of course if he wins his paycheck will have an extra zero on there for the rest of his career (khan fight included,) while he's on top

it's a sound business move if you don't think the risk of a khan fight is worth the reward
It's a business move no doubt. But, going from stop running Khan, to getting a career high payday with 50/50 on everything, lineal title and to be called undisputed on the line, to removing all doubt who's the man at 140, to saying I don't want Khan is a duck. He rather sit out and hope for a chance that might or might not come.

No way to sugar coat it he pulled a Floyd to his Margarito in Khan and ducked him.

Statements like this are hardly going to endear him to anyone, so I think you can argue that it is fair.
Bradley thinks people will watch to see him lose like Floyd, but he has no swagger and walks out to gospel music. dude is having an identity crisis.

Like Bradley, Floyd could of had the best of both Worlds. But, like Bradley chose to duck a true thread and arguably the best in his division.

Beating khan does not guarantee a fight with pac or may.....everbody was singing this same ole bull**** song last year when Bradley put the Alexander fight on hold,, everybody said he was duking and that beating Alexander would land him a pac fight...it doesn't guarantee nothing. He's already in talks with Arum and he's the best decisions possible for HIM....

Yeah jrosales right. Floyd fights the lineal champ but he ducked a fringe champ. He then moves up to 154 to fight the cash cow for a title. But he again ducked the 3rd rated ww who lost to daniel santos. Thats right floyd left top rank so he didn't have to fight cotto and marg. Not because Bob was stealing money from him.

Either way you and any other poster on this board fights for the true ww title and then the biggest possible payday to that point in their career.
