I agree, but one thing for sure...training/sparring are way different than actually fighting. Sure he's in shape but something might not ne there anymore, or there could be something slipping. These lay-offs can mess him up, and in this sport, THAT is very dangerous.
Floyd will lose his 0 soon

Going undefeated is a curse anyways, people just think fighters cherry-pick their careers. Tho, Floyd clearly has one of the best defense in probably boxing history. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter get hit as less as he does. And he even showed in the Mosley fight that even when you do hit him, he has a chin.Comment

Ortiz vs Mayweather reminds me of Leonard vs Norris. You have in one corner a legend that depends on his skill, speed, and reflexes and have been out of boxing over a year. In the other corner you have a young lion who has just came off of a sensational victory and winning a world title. We all know that Norris dominated Leonard. The difference is Terry also beat his opponents with skill, speed, and his reflexes.Ortiz relies more on power and pressure. We don't know if the layoff will hurt Floyd the way it did Ray. If so, Ortiz will be a serious problem. I think Floyd should fight Ortiz and if he wins that, go after Manny now. I wouldn't fight Khan at this point. If everything is still intact, Floyd will beat Ortiz and Manny. Manny did not look good at all against a shot Mosley. I think he's slowing down.Manny would have to land the big one on Floyd if not,he gets outboxed easily. Amir Khan is an older fighter's nightmare. He's tall with long arms and crazy hand and foot speed. At this stage of his career, Floyd wouldn't be able to fight at Khan's pace. Khan would get off first and win a decision. If Floyd continues his career after Ortiz and Manny, he needs to stay away from these young fast hungry fighters. At this stage, Bradley would give him problems. Sergio Martinez is just too big and strong, plus he has speed. If the skills, speed, reflexes are intact, look for Floyd to break Ortiz down and get the KO. I see him making Manny look like an amateur, but Khan would give him his first defeat. Not because Amir is the better fighter, but because he will have size, youth, and speed on his side. At this stage if you are an older fighter, you stay away from that.Comment

when one says cutting off the ring...meaning the other guy keeps on running?Don't base your judgement in just one fight. Pac can cut off the ring pretty good if you watch his other fights or just for example in Mosley fight actually when the ref wrongly called the knockdown, Pac forgot his leg cramp, started cutting off the ring and beat the hell out of Mosley. Floyd has to be 100% to beat Pac and be prepared to the non stop high pace assault and don't expect any mercy after what he did (PED acussation).
on this you are right that the pac mosley should not be the sole basis of pac's ability to cut-off the ring....
but let us go to another scenario....
what would floyd's reaction be if pac resorts to staring floyd down like pac did to cotto who was running scared on the later rounds? that is pac stopped chasing cotto and just stared him down....
what would floyd's reaction be when the fans start booing him for running?
remember, judges do not take too well for fighters who always run and does not engage...judges favor fight initiator than runners (the way mosley did run)....

this ortiz fight will tell u everything u need to know. but no lion stays leasder of the pack forever. as far as the layoffs go, they definitely matter, but to a guy whos always in shape like floyd, they dont matter as much as some ppl think.Comment
