No low-blow.
Roach mentioned before the fight that Khan's body shots were solid during training camp. Let's not forget that Maidana got dropped with a body shot as well. Any lower and Judah may have had a case, but he clearly had his spirits broken early in the fight.
Bradley should've taken the fight. Like Schaefer said, Tim will have to agree to their terms if he wants to scrap with Khan.

That punch hurt Judah like a body shot, pure and simple. Zab couldn't recover and got counted out. Khan won by legitimate body shot KO.
On the belt isn't on the balls.

It was a tough call, but after examining the replay, the fact it is that the punch hit the beltline. I think scoring it a knockdown was the right call, but I can see others' arguments otherwise.

Khan surely won't accept a 50-50 split now.
He is sued and most likely won't be able to sign with Top Rank and fight Pac
He let a lot of money go down the drain

Here's how it works: Anything below the belly button is considered a low blow. Before the fight the referee determines where punches must land in order to be considered a low blow, this is based on how high or low each fighters trunks are. Sometimes a referee will say that a low blow is below the belt line, while at other times a referee will say a low blow includes the belt line, it varies and that's why the referee looks at each fighter and determines where a low blow will be.
In this case he clearly said anything on the belt line would be considered low, the punch started below the belt line and continued upward finishing on the belt line.
Plain and simple a low blow, not debatable at all.
Anyway IMO the ref called it right. Judah clearly faked it and was buying time and making excuses even in earlier rounds. If the ref called it a low blow, Judah would not get up and won't continue to fight and Khan might even be disqualified. If the fight went on, Judah would have suffered a terrible beating.
In the end, the ref have a decision to make and i think the call was rightLast edited by don miguel; 07-24-2011, 03:19 AM.
