Freddie Roach explaining his cherry picking and catchweights

I saw this interview with Freddie Roach from after the Oscar De La Hoya fight and I can't believe that people haven' called team Pacquiao out for cherry picking before. Freddie explains multiple times in this video on who they want to fight and why they choose to fight certain fighters.






First Freddie breaks down the Oscar fight and then he explains later in the video why they choose him in the first place. He says that they chose Oscar because his age and he didn't do good in his late few performances. I understand them taking it because of the revenue though, so I'm not trippin too much.



He also says they would like the Mayweather fight(when he was retired), but they do claim they want to fight the best, but then he goes on to say that they want to fight Mayweather at a catchweight below 147 because they want to take a little something from Floyd at 6:20.



Then the Margarito fight is brought up around 6:40. Remember this was just after Margarito/Cotto and before Margarito/Mosley. Freddie said he that he doesn't want the fight, but it depends on how he looks against Mosley(Mosley KHTFO so they take it a year later). He states that Margarito is a big 147 pounder in his PRIME and that's not a good fight for them at the time. He also states that if Margarito wants to fight at 143 or 144 then they'll fight him



Now they ask about Miguel Cotto (after the Margarito fight) and Freddie jumps to it and seems excited about that fight.



After the Mosley fight is happening, it seems more people are catching on to what their camp has been doing. They always use these catchweights to their benefit and it's the same thing with Marquez as well now.

team pacquiao always play the disadvantage card ie. smaller, going up in weight, "needles make me weak" etc. non boxing fans and the media don't care what really goes on the contract so long as pacquiao puts on a "show" to faded chumps that's "bigger, taller and stronger" than him. it's the same script every fight.

Pacquiao demanding catchweights to handicap his opponents = perfectly reasonable.

Mayweather demanding comprehensive drug testing for both parties so that nobody comes in the fight with an unfair advantage = completely outrageous cowardly act

Who cares if catchweights are outside of commission & sanctioning body guidelines, Pacquiao's a WARRIOR who will fight anybody, anywhere, anytime. As long as you're not in your prime or at the top of your game, and Pacquiao has every conceivable advantage imaginable and everything is on his terms.

Pacquiao is scared of needles, prime opponents & random drug tests and people actually believe that Mayweather is the coward out of these 2?

Either my PC isnt working or your 'Videos' has been change/removed by the Mods...All i see is advertisement, And most know already that Team Pac cherrypick their fights, This isnt a revelation, And this is my theory on why Mayweather sells more than Paq with common opponents, You see how they didnt even release the Paq-Mosley PPV numbers {Not Arum's numbers but the real numbers.}?

I think everyone should've already known that Roach was confident in fighting Oscar for obvious reasons. Mosley begged for a fight with Manny but they didn't want it cause they thought he was too good at the time, so they picked him at the right time.
