    Moving on.
If you can find anything in any of my posts about Castillo trying to lose muscle mass, your initial reply to me might make sense or have some credence. Unfortunately, you can't.

No, I don't know anything about his body fat percentage, but that wasn't mentioned, either. I would wager, though, that even in the ring tonight it was between 8 and 10% tops. He's always in top condition.

If you are, as you claim, a boxer, you should be able to understand that, beneath everything, I was saying that perhaps he put on too much in training and was unable to lose it.
I think that, while it taints the fight because of the lack of professionalism, especially when you have his doctor trying to cheat, and makes it look purposeful, it takes nothing away from his performance, which was brilliant.

I don't buy the rib injury thing at all. I did have a good chuckle when he said that the difference this time was that he had time to prepare.

Give the guy some credit, at least. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, and he was so confident, he bet $100,000 on it.
Your points are valid, but it's the "omg omg Castillo is the best thing EVER and Corrales is ****" attitude that people put on right after the fight ended that got everyone so upset. Like, trying to deny the fact that there was controversy surrounding this fight.

To these people I say this: name me one other major fight in the history of boxing where one of the fighters couldn't make weight. The answer is that you can't, because these fights are quickly forgotten.

If Castillo thinks he got out some measure of revenge for this win, then fine, good for him. But in the grand scheme of things it means little to nothing because they had to mess around with the rules to get the fight off.

Another thing: people keep saying, well Corrales agreed to this, so it doesn't matter what happened at the weigh-in. Bull****. If someone offered to give you a million bucks if you told them that your mother ****** **** **** then you would probably do it, right? Cause it's free money, with a bit of embarassment but no real strings attached. Corrales took a ton of cash and didn't even have to put his belts on the line. Of course he takes the offer.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. Most people here are probably a bit like me at first when it comes to stuff like that. My first thoughts are normally way off of what I really think. After a bit of thinking on it, I change my perspective a lot.

I just don't like Coralles, or Coralles' fans. (Especially idiots claiming that Coralles wasn't ready, be it mentally of physically for the Floyd fight... that's neither here nor there, though.)

Oh yeah, I'm the same way. I guess everyone is. Probably the alcohol issue is affecting a lot of the posts as well.

I don't much like Corrales either, to tell you the truth. If the weight issue hadn't of happened, I wouldn't have had any problems seeing him get KOed.

                    • 3 Lbs is the equivalent of 9000 calories...do any of you know how much activity or lack of nutrition it takes to deplete the body of so much caloric energy? Bottom line is that Corrales had to endure this extra suffering and Castillo didn't, thus not making it an even playingfield...that is why 3 lbs is indeed a HUGE deal. I saw the fight and Castillo looked a great deal more vigorous than Corrales, no doubt due in large part to the less physical stress that he had to endure. In the first fight Castillo landed his signature left hook over and over and they didn't have KO effect until the 10th round, so why the sudden, emphatic change this time around? My feeling is that those 3 lbs. were critical, just 24 hours before the fight Castillo had an unfair advantage which led to an uncharacteristic and totally uncanny, vicious knockout that only a more nourished and healthier fighter can inflict on a more physically stressed man.
