Pacquiao more accurate puncher than Mayweather

Let us say....

Floyd throws 200 punches and landed 200 = 100% accurate!
Pacquaio throws 500 punches and landed 250 = 50% accurate!

But I guess if your the opponent of these two, you will rather fight Mayweather than receive another 50 extra punches in your face from Pacquiao. Numbers don't lie. 250 > 200! Floyd is more accurate but landing more in your opponents is much better. Of course, *****s will disagree.

Actually in the power punch category, Mayweather lands at 50.2% and Pacquiao lands at 52% (last 6 fights, average)

Pacquiao is the more accurate puncher, he throws more, throw, combinations and hits harder more often.

If you wanna talk about reasoned why do you take out the numbers that matter? This is about accuracy of punches and yet you're not including the ones that make Pac an inaccurate puncher?

It's very, very, very simple. Out of all the punches they throw, Mayweather lands at a much higher %. Pac doesn't.

If you want to get unreasonable and talk about things that don't actually relate to overall accuracy of a fighter, then yes sure, let's only use the stuff that make Pac look good and Mayweather less so, but the simple matter is this: Mayweather lands 14% more punches that he throws than Pac. He is, by pure definition, the more accurate puncher.

Pacquaio actually is one of the most accurate punchers in boxing. Part of the reason is that he uses angles, the volume and of course his speed.

Floyd is extremely selective with his shots, so I think that would give him an overall edge in connect % against most top level guys.

Different ways to consider the topic, though. For example, I don't think Floyd could land as many clean shots on most opponents as Pac does no matter how aggressive he chose to be.
