Pacquiao throw more punches and is a combination puncher, both these things redcue accuracy. On top of this Pacquiao is a harder puncher and throws harder puncher, another thing that will effect accuracy.

We also have to forget about the jab as the jab is use to open a defence and find range, so it can be used effectively even though it is not landing.

Pacquiao also lands his punches right on the button, bang on the chin, Mayweather punches are more scoring punches.

Pacquiao landed an astonishing 50% of his power punches against Mosley while Mayweather landed an impresiive 46%, still 4 % less than Pacquiao. And Mosley was in defensive mode when facing Pacquiao and Pacquiao was throwing more punches than Mayweather.

So what is there 6 fight average?

      Pacquiao 52%

      Mayweather 50.2%

There you have it the stats back up my theory and add to this Pacquiao throws more, hits harder and throws more combinations and higher punch combinations, you would have to agree Pacquiao is the more accurate puncher.
lmaoooooooooooo you waste your time to research this just to expose your stupidity

      • Manny is the stronger guy, but Floyd's a bit more the accurate fighter, no denying it. Manny nor his camp will be planning to go the distance, so I doubt this side of comparing the two even matters.

        • Pacquiao punches find there way through gaps in the guard, while Floyd bide his time and waits for his opponent to be wide open to counter them.

People like to think Manny is a brawler/swarmer and throws punches in the general direction of his opponent.

This is not true, everyone of his punches has a target and over 50% they hit that target. You can't get those number by swarming.

You can't look too far back because fighters evolve, thats why used there last 6 fights for their stats.

People still haven't factor in the combination punching, the power or the volume punching.

If any of you have been shooting before, you will know it is dam sight easy when you are just taking single shot, but when you have to fire of multiple shots, your accuracy will drop.

I think I proved my point.

And it doesn't take that long to type compubox and the name of the fight you want the stats for into google.

              • i don't like these types of threads. they just scare floyd further as well as his fans. result: dump more roadblocks to make sure fight won't happen.

Another insightful comment. when was the last time you made a comment that was boxing related?

You do know this is a boxing forum, don't you?

Maybe you have to go down that route because you don't have the boxing knowledge to counter my arguments.

                  Ironic.....eh.

                    Let us say....

Floyd throws 200 punches and landed 200 = 100% accurate!
Pacquaio throws 500 punches and landed 250 = 50% accurate!

But I guess if your the opponent of these two, you will rather fight Mayweather than receive another 50 extra punches in your face from Pacquiao. Numbers don't lie. 250 > 200! Floyd is more accurate but landing more in your opponents is much better. Of course, *****s will disagree.
