If you compare this with his pad work for Marquez (coming off an even longer layoff), the difference is stark IMO:

the differences in handspeed, reflexes, even his footwork/speed when Roger 'turns' him is pretty noticeable. But I won't make a real judgment until footage comes out later in his camp.
he was nearing the end of his workout. plus he is coming off a long ass layoff

Yeah. It's kind of like a Basketball player practicing/working on his jumpers without any defender/s on him to try to deflect his shots or force him to not aiming at the hoop; Compared to, in a real game where he would face multiple defenders, then he would have to work ten times harder to create enough separation from them, and get his shots off at the right time and on target.

          Just a few thoughts:

          - I don't think we can really tell much from less than two minutes of footage. Most of Floyd's real work get's done in sparring which isn't available.

          - It's obvious to anone with a reasonably keen eye that Floyd's speed and reflexes have slowed down over the years. He and his father have actually mentioned this. Compare Floyd vs ODLH and Floyd vs SSM, where Floyd was actually bigger against ODLH, but his reflexes and speed were faster. Compare Judah and Baldmoir fights to JMM and SSM, he has slowed a little bit.

          - He does look in very goos shape atm, but he isn't in fight shape, i would wait until the weigh in to make a judgement. He was practically glowing for the SSM weigh in and looked very strong and healthy.

Wouldnt go that far... Floyd may not be as fast going by his own standards, but compared to others his speed, movement, and reflexes are still above most. He's not at that Kobe stage yet.

Agree. But as far as being fundamentally sound, they're both still the best in their respective sports.
