Yes stances need to be different but the fact is, this is sparring in a boxing ring and he will be judged on it.

Fedor has one of the best highlight reels in MmA with punches and looking at him here, he looks bad. His technique is very wild and messy, particularly when he isn't punching. He would neve last 12 rounds of punching with that style or stamina IMO.

It is clear as day that someone of comparable weight in Haye would KO him if he ever chose to do 'stand up' haye is too fast and would get in there before kicks do.
are you serious"? you know, even a bum that weights 200lbs can ko fedor, ***** or any1 else on the planet. all I read is "if", "if" .. you guys silly.

and you said, u never seen wrestling in street fight?

because his style is not conventional boxing. Hes more just lunging in with a looping punch trying to get through the weak guard of a mmafighter.

It's totally different from boxing when you have to be concerned with getting taken down, which a boxer with that stance would be in seconds.
People with a successful modified jab is coming along now in mma, especially gsp, but fedors unconventional style has been very effective in mma.

          gsp is another bum

supposedly the "best" fighter in the sport and his jab is worthless

ive seen slugs throw faster jabs then gsp.

in his last fight gsp literally threw a jab-jab-overhand right combo for 20 minutes straight. never even bothered to switch it up. no variety, nothing. just a predictable 1-1-2 for 20 minutes that any F-level boxer wouldve been able to counter after the 1st 2 or 3 attempts

the actual fight was 25 minutes, but i fell asleep for the last 5. im sure he did more of the same during those 5 minutes though

the only mma fighter who has a concept of boxing is cain velasquez or anderson silva and even they arent that good

Dont forget Fedor is WAY past his prime, he dominated for a DECADE and beat anyone and everyone there was, Dude needs to retire, he is too stubborn to change his game. He's a shell of his former self and its sad seeing Lebedev school him in sparring.

Fedor still kills him in a streetfight, Boxing in a street fight only helps you with the first two punches, after you throw your 1-2 your opponent gets right in you and usually tackles you , knees you in the face, bottle to face, etc.

Some of you guys got a chip on your shoulder, some MMA fans are annoying as hell but don't go down to their level.

Boxing is my sport but I'll watch the occasional MMA fight once every 2 months or so or if I'm awake and can't sleep.

It's not bad but they are two different sports.
