the reason it doesn't seem like it is because when you have thai , vietnamese , etc. food it's at restaurants.

they don't make it like they do homemade. they try to make it more so that white people can eat it.

Yea, alot of dishes use the same ingredients, I just hardly see other countries use things like bagoong, tamrind and even our fish sauce is the smelliest IMO.
