That's kind of unfair, as he humilaited Alex Trujillo and Courtney Burton reccently.

Those were two very solid wins.

Augustus' big problem is that he's taken so many fights on a weeks notice in other guy's home towns and done so while being a chronic weed smoker.

He feels of his 24 losses that only 4 were legit.

He has been robbed more than any other fighter.

    I think his reccent string of fights show he's a top 10 - 15 140lber.

I think he could shock some stiffer opposition.

Mayweather and Tszyu have a lot of good things to say about him.

i think augustus is viewed as very dangerous by a lot of the top fighter's management. for example, cotto's last minute ordeal a couple weeks ago- that could have been augustus fighting him but they didn't go that route. because as bozo said, not enough to gain- but plenty to lose- and losing is always a very real possibility for anyone facing emanuel.

i check b-ruce like twice a week, heh.
i suppose i'm an augustus "nut hugger" as you guys say. but a self admitted one. i don't think anyone should downplay anything about augustus- he's got a lot of character and is just so damn good and entertaining.

        Well said.

The best part is every top pro that brings him in as a sparring partner (and there are a lot) rave about his professionalism and how hard he works them.

On top of that, he's very entertaining to watch.

Trujillo and Burton aren't really great measures of a fighter.

Trujillo had a decent record against limited opposition.

Burton, including the gift decision against Augustus, has lost his last 4.

Augustus is a fighter I will always go out of my way to see, and he might win a title before he retires, but he won't hold it long. He's getting a little long in the tooth.
