If Pacquiao beats Marquez, what questions will be answered/raised?

I'm not a Pac nuthugger, nor am I a hater - I'm trying to present a balanced argument here.

While I was thinking about boxing the other day, I thought - "Marquez gave Pacquiao a hell of a fight on two occasions, and nobody has matched that since. If Pac completely destroys Marquez this time around, doesn't that prove there's something fishy e.g. PEDs??"

Then I realised - not necessarily. The fight (correct me if I'm wrong) is happening at 145, and perhaps if Pac beats JMM decisively then that is just because he has adjusted much better to moving up in weight, and has gained far more power by doing so.

This may seem like a ****** point to bring up, but I'd be interested to know what you think in terms of Pacquiao going from someone who struggled against him to a complete monster in 3 years.

nothing will be answered. Most sane boxing enthusiasts already know Marquez is too small for current Pac, and while Pac is not still prime, Jmm has slipped considerably more.

They had their two fights that gave a good view on who was best (very equal). This third is a waste of time.

      1. Why isn't this fight at 135-140
      2. When are Pacquiao and Mayweather gonna fight

*******s think this mismatch will erase our memories. Think again! The fact to the matter is, you can lie to yourselves and keep saying this is a fair fight, but it isn't. This win won't settle shit unless it was 2 divisions south.

          do yourself a favor, bro
if you want to have a serious boxing discussion don't involve drug testing.

there's unfinished business between the two men
if you've been watching boxing since '05 then you've seen two classic, even fights between the two

it's most unfortunate that the weight is far beyond where marquez can be viable, but he's still got manny pacquiao figured out technically
he's given him his toughest fights of recent memory

if that doesn't warrant a rematch i cant tell you what does.
great fighters have fought trilogies when the first two fights were close for as long as they've been fighting

you wouldn't be talking about this if floyd mayweather waste a marketing genius
and the bulk of the casual boxing fans (which is all you are if you actually participate in such banter) are dumb as rocks and easy to control

You're right in that the fight isn't anywhere near as competitive as it was 3 years ago, but this is mainly due to weight in my opinion. Sure JMM came up to fight Mayweather, but he doesn't fight well at 145+. The problem with Pacquiao being such a sought-after fight for other boxers is that he gets to dictate the terms, which lowers the quality of his wins due to catchweights etc.

There is no question as to why Pacman is called "Mexicutioneer"

Marquez inability to win over and above "Llightweight Division"

I disagree, but hes not far removed from it.

I don't like what I've seen by pac post cotto.
If anyone cares, i don't think Mayweather in his absolute prime either.
