    Haye is a good heavyweight.

He has very good power, fast hands, he moves well and his head movement is pretty good. I also think he's a smarter boxer than what he gets credit for.

His weaknesses are his stamina/workrate. he doesn't throw alot and when he throws his bombs, he always goes off balance also. His chin also appears to be problem which affects him having any inside game.

      So how good is Haye?
He looked like a amatuer against Klitschko I can tell you that much. Dude was way off balance and throwing wide ass punches

u gotta be kidding! Mercer back in his prime gave an almost prime Lennox hell ! the same could have been said about Holyfield. Bruno was a good fighter, just lacked a jaw, he too was outboxing Lennox. They'd be A-class in this era.

Solid B-Level fighter, nothing more, nothing less.

Excellent puncher, has good handspeed, good athleticism and quickness, but has a poor overall skillset. All the physical tools are there, but he doesn't have the heart or the noodle to be an elite boxer.

Doesn't really have the skills to be an A level fighter & I think the fight against Wlad proved it. He kept trying that jab to the body & the over-hand right. That might work on a Fraduley, Ruiz or someone like that but in the A class of fighters, its not enough.

A lot of credit for what he has achieved in the sport though.
He didn't test Wlad, but he showed head movement and some nice footwork that we hadn't seen before. He fought well but didn't stick to the game plan Booth set.

It's a shame he'll retire before he fights someone like Arreola/Chambers to show his true level.

He is what Bruno, Briggs, Mercer etc. were in the 90s.
Those guys are all natural heavyweights I consider David Haye to have been a world class cruiserweight but a pretty poor heavyweight.

I think it speaks volumes about how weak the current heavyweight division is when guys like David Haye are considered as the most dangerous opponent for the K bros out there.

I think Bruno had a pretty decent jaw what he lacked was any real survival instinct when he was hurt he simply didn’t know what to do he wouldn’t even attempt to hold on. I agree with the rest of your post though.

Bruno was a warrior, he never ducked anyone and was a good dude. I felt sorry for him when he got cracked by Tyson with that elbow, that really hurt big Frank. But he never got the repect that he deserved because their was a hig level of competition during his time, kinda like what happened to Jerry Quarrey who i have to say is a beast! Anyway he would crushed Haye for sure inside 6 !

They were B-class back then and they'd be B-class in 2011. As I said, the benchmark are the Klits (not Sam Peter or Chagaev) who are on a similar level to the 90's great heavies and compared to them Bruno, Mercer, Briggs etc. are not in the same class.

I know what Mercer did to Lewis and I also remember how green Wlad ****d a faded but not shot Mercer. You're not outjabbing Wlad if you're not named Holmes.

He's a great cruiserweight... So sad he's not there to fight with Lebedev, Huck and so on...
