Wouldn't this be the definition of being outwitted? If you can't even conjure a decent gameplan when you have months to prepare, how will you do it on the fly with a mammoth hw infront of you?

Haye didnt follow up his punches, ran most of the fight yet you call this domination.....where did Wlad actually dominate him.
Exactly. Haye fought like ****. Just like hes done in pretty much all his hw fight. Look at the Valuev fight again for a replica.
David Haye has the physique and build to be active and explosive. Unfortunately he is the most timid fighter in the division (among the "names").

Where wlad wominated him? By almost scooping every round from him. The only ronds you could give Haye is based on getting 1 good hit, and are mostly sorted under the "well, this fight is embarrassing, ill give him that one".

Haye "dominated" himself, thats the real story....
Yeah, and that could be said for 95% of all fighters who lose.
Sorry to burst your bubble. The gameplan is far from Davids only problem in this matchup.

"Looking at the numbers; neither fighter was at all efficient with landing percentages of 26% for Wladimir Klitschko & 25% for Mr. David Haye. The big Ukrainian did though manage to throw 509 punches – fully 219 more than Haye’s poultry effort of 290. That means the methodical/robotic younger Klitschko was able to throw 17.5 punches for every 10 that came from the Brit whilst also landing on a slightly more regular basis."
And the reason for this is David never even popped out of his running shell to be hit. He gave himself absolutely no chance and in the process made both fighters look kind of rubbish.

Do you really think David would even be standing after 12 rounds had he not been on his bike backpaddeling the entire fight?

He was hoping for the lucky punch the entire fight & it failed.
Exactly, because hes an extremely limited heavyweight whos gotten his notoriety from beating John Ruiz and dominating certain parts of a weak cruiserweight era.

Pretty sure this man knows what hes talking about considering he BEAT a klitschko.
Noone is dis*****g David Haye fought a strategically awful fight.

I wouldn't call Lennox Lewis, David Hayes friend and countryman especially unbiased either.

Clottey v pacquiao - i would not call that domination , clottey was afraid to throw & looked dangerous when he landed

Mayweather v mosley - domination, mosley was live until mayweather adjusted and dominated using his skills

Two types of one sided victories but whereas Mayweather dominated mosley by adaptation, clottey conceded victory before he even began.

I refuse to accept clottey was dominated simply because he never tried to engage.....this is true of David Haye.

Fair enough if Haye tried to engage & didnt run then wlad worked him out and dominated him i'd give credit to outwitting his opponent.

Simple because wlad won every round in a fight almost, in my eyes does not accumulate to domination, in my eyes to dominate.

        Simply put....

How can you dominate somebody whos not even trying to make it a fight.

Almost as bad as when a CW and a LHW won the linear HW championship, right? That must have been a piss poor era
