most of floyds fights were at 130 and at that weight he wasnt rehydrating to 145 like manny

thats more than arguable. pac was still in his prime at 147. in fact id say he became a better fighter as he went up in weight to 140/147. pac is bigger now, hes better. marquez is smaller, hes older, out of his prime and hes fighting at a weight he clearly does not belong at. stop making excuses.

Manny's a natural welterweight, that's why his body would go back to 145+ on fight night.

Everyone that said Pacquiao vs JMM is the riskier fight isn't taking weight and size into consideration. They're all just comparing this fight to the fights from forever ago. How the hell is a natural 147 vs a natural 135 a riskier fight? You guys KNOW Marquez is going to go down at some point in this fight. If a 135 Pacquiao can drop him 3 times in 1 round, trust me, a 147 Pacquiao will kill him. Pacquiao has ALL the advantage against Marquez and Mayweather has absolutely no advantages against Ortiz. There is no way you guys can't agree with that.

This just shows how high of a standard that Floyd is held to. Lets be honest, Team Pac wouldn't have taken the Marquez fight if they didn't feel that it was easy $. Team Pac is expecting JMM to struggle at that weight like he did against Floyd. Time will tell whether that's the case or not...
i couldn't agree more. just cause marquez weighs in the light 140s on fight night doesn't mean he could weigh in at that weight and still perform great. i'm honestly not gonna tune into that fight cause i already know the outcome. i'm a huge fan of both fighters, but i'm just not feeling this fight, it feels kind of like a joke.

manny had trouble with marquez at his prime weight. now neither will he be in his prime but he wont be at his prime weight either. that changes nothing apparently. smh...
they just hype it up to make themselves and others believe that it's a fair or risky fight that could go either way. jmm couldn't stop manny (let alone even drop him) at the lower weights where jmm was more comfortable, no way he even leaves manny's face touched up by the end of the night. Like Hi Hater said, this fight wouldn't be happening if they knew it wasn't an easy money fight.

mayweather/ortiz might have some crazy odds in the betting world, but honestly take the all these different factors into consideration: ortiz has power that can actually hurt his opponents and drop them. he'll also be a lot bigger than floyd come fight night. He has some sort of new found mentality that hopefully shows up for this fight. mayweather's been inactive and isn't getting any younger. I give ortiz a chance, but not a huge one, he really has to make his case early on.
as for marquez, idk. he got dropped by pac before, and recently by katsidis, i really think he's going to get dropped again by a stronger, bigger pacquiao. no way he stops him, and slim chance he blows him out on the scorecards (cause a close decision would go to pac)

Neither fight is risky. Both Ortiz and JMM have the same chance of winning that fight. And, that is a very slim, damn near zero chance of winning.

However, Floyd-Ortiz is the more legit fight. But, you didn't ask that. You asked which one was riskier and the answer is both are the same.
