It's either floyd wins a UD or Cotto winning by a KO.

Btw, it's just my opinion, Phantom might red K me again for posting my opinion.

There have been a lot of "easy fights" that Floyd hasn't taken. Cotto would never be an easy fight for Floyd and that fight didn't happen for a number of reasons.

For one, Floyd mentioned on-going animosity between he and Bob Arum. He also mentioned, incredibly, that Cotto being from Puetro Rico () was an obstacle to the fight.

At the time of their potential crossing, Cotto was undefeated and had some great knockouts to his name. Each of them fought Judah, but who walked away with the ko?

Cotto is a bad style match up for Floyd. Cotto is most successful when he comes forward and throws. Mayweather doesn't have the power to back him up, like he was forced to retreat against Margarito and Pacquiao. Mayweather moves backward, throws too few punches before clinching, and lays on the ropes too much. Miguel would come hard to the head and especially the body. Floyd had just made tens of millions between Oscar and Hatton, so why take the risk?

After the Ricky Hatton fight, Larry Merchant asked Floyd about the prospects of a Miguel Cotto fight and Floyd basically retired on camera.

So, if Cotto was such an easy fight- one that would clearly make money- why didn't Floyd take it? All it took for Hatton to get the match was Ricky saying he had more action than Floyd, then Floyd turned to Ellerbe and said, 'make the ***** fight'. If fights can be made that easy, why wouldn't Mayweather have wanted to test himself against one of the best out there? Oh, I remember, Mayweather said it himself in regards to another fighter he didn't face, "We ain't in this to see who the best is".

Why aren't Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez fighting? If Sergio is as great a middleweight as the nuthuggers say he is and Miguel Cotto is as amazing a boxer as the *******s like to pretend he is, why is there no demand for this fight?

I know what to do, lets make another damn Mayweather thread...lets make another damn Pacroid thread.

        I got a joke.

How many Filipinos does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Three. One to screw in the lightbulb and two to talk about how great Manny Pacquiao is.

        Heres another joke.

How many *****s does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Two. One to steal a lightbulb while the other one keeps a lookout.

        Edit: Alternate Floyd joke.

How does Floyd Mayweather screw in a lightbulb?

He holds it up to the socket and lets the world revolve around him

cotto has never ducked anyone...if cotto were to fight mayweather and attack the body like he used to do he had a great chance to win...to many people fighters only go for mayweathers head and they forget about the body...cotto in his prime would have been a challenge for floyd...that is why the fight never happened...and since every one here likes to talk about leftovers...floyd beat cottos leftovers which was shane...

Its kinda hard to go for Floyd's body when you get punched in the face every time that you stop watching his eyes...and Cotto beat Mosley in a pretty close fight...

I strongly disagree. Mayweather himself never thought that way .

There is a case to be made that Cotto avoided Paul Williams even if it was not one of the most blatant duckings .
