And Taylor lost his career in that fight.

Mayweather know win lose or draw against Pacquiao it will be the toughest fight of his life and the beating he will take in the ring, will change him forever.

Money means a lot to Floyd but his health means more, and taking a fight with Pacquiao could serriously damage his health.

Floyd probably saw the Taylor vs Chavez fight as a kid and made sure the same won't happen to him.

Hence his safety first style and not taking the dangerous fights.

Floyd has mentioned his health and how boxing a dangerous sport when the Pacquiao fight is mentioned. Does Chavez vs Taylor fight make Floyd weary of fighting Pacquiao?
