I am just curious to find out how people view Evander Holyfield all time. I still think he is an all time great heavyweight but his rep has took a big hit with all these losses I think. Whats your opinion on the real deal?
How Bad Has Evander Holyfield's Legacy Been Damaged?

Anyone who looks at these recent losses and says Evander's a ****ty fighter because of them is a moron and shouldn't be taken seriously. He's still a great fighter, and always will be. Just because he doesn't know when to quit doesn't mean his past accomplishments are erased.
I'd just like to note that as a kid I saw him in his early years, even a bit of pre-Tyson.Comment

I think it tarnishes it a little. I would say borderline Hall of Famer. His best punch was his headbutt. I didn't care for that much.Comment

I don't think his legacy took a hit...he took on everyone in his prime...had big wins in his prime...and some big wins out of his prime...those who know boxing know that anything post Ruiz I is a farse...and if he just so happened to win (Ruiz I, DRAW Ruiz III, and Rahman)...then it is a plus...but in the end...we know what Holyfield has done, given...Comment

He's not a ****ty fighter, but he certainly isn't the smartest fighter.
Okay, fine..
He's dumb as hell to still want to fight.Comment
