Well, they should never have weigh ins on the day of the fight. Its dangerous. I'd be for them having weigh-ins 2 days before the fight if fighters fought at their natural weights and wouldn't balloon up so much.
making excuses for castillo.would you feel the same if the bigger corrales did that? come on.
let me hear how you rationalize that.and don't pull a mckay.
my guess is its 147 with that weight just being a "limit" weight meaning they won't have to work as hard to maintain a weight under 147 over the next few hours. it could be a typo tho.
I think your right. I saw 147 also. Once Castillo rehydrates, 147 may not be a walk in the park either.
We have gone from the mouthpiece controversy to the weigh in controversy. If they both weight about the same at 3pm tomorrow, I guess I can live with it and it's at least a compromise that allows for a fair fight if both come in near 147. But if Castillo wins, it will be fair to say he cheated to do it and the sport doesn't need that at all. This sucks.
It doesn't happen often that a fighter doesn't make weight, so it's a Castillo problem and doesn't need a knee jerk reaction with demands to change the sport. Ban Castillo from future title fights for 2 years, and take a big chunk out of his purse.
That's the only way to make fighters take this seriously - make an example out of Castillo. This is one of the highest profile PPV's this year, and this is just a terribly unprofessional thing to happen. Shame on Castillo and his camp for not being prepared.
steelhead, Mayweather already KTFO Corrales, or did you forget Corrales hitting the deck 5 times in one night? hahahaha, its funny you calling him the *****. Corrales is the one who has drained himself for years to make 130 now 135. It is ironic that Castillo would be the one between these two who comes in overweight. Oh well, Mayweather and Casamayor really beat them both easily. Mayweather and Casamayor both knocked Chico out.
