So does this mean that it's going to be a NON TITLE fight?

That's just ignorance. Seems racially motivated, but probably just ******ity. Arum is no better than King. You're fooling yourself if you think so.

But to answer your second question, yes, it's now finalized as a non-title fight.

Hopefully, this whole situation will help raise questions as to how the boxing community can better handle weight situations in the future. But the bottomline is you need to be better prepared coming into such a big fight like this one.
Well, they should never have weigh ins on the day of the fight. Its dangerous. I'd be for them having weigh-ins 2 days before the fight if fighters fought at their natural weights and wouldn't balloon up so much.

Ignorance?? how? everyone knows king is crooked as hell. All I'm sayin though is that coming into a fight of this caliber you'd think weight would be the last issue.

Other than the Castillo team member trying to mess with the scale, there's nothing that suggests anything being crooked here. Too much speculating going on on the board...

I hope castillo knocks out corrales but since it's now a non title fight and corrales will leave the ring the champion no matter what, i will not purchase the ppv fight...the fight has no meaning now..corrales can run the whole fight and lose the fight and still have better fights waiting for him against top opponents...castillo will be another boxer who the champs avoid......

This could possibly be the most ******ed thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

What has Corrales ever done to make you think that he would not give it 110% and be in Castillo's face all night?

And Don King has exactly what to do with this fight? Nothing.

Why couldn't you say you smell a Bob Arum moment? Arum is the one who has actually admitted to corruption. King is untouched by the Gov't, minus that murder charge back in the 60s, which hey he obviously got out.

I know what you're saying, but people need to realize that Arum is just as corrupt, actually I'd say more corrupt now than Don King. But since King is black, partially at least, people ignore Arum and blame it all on King.

ok, after negotiating, we have a final update that both camps have agreed on a 3PM (i'm assuming PT) weigh-in tomorrow afternoon. The fight is on!
