I'm not even a hardcore Pacquiao fan, but I find it funny of how everybody on here praises JMM for the opponents he has fought when his resume reads like a who's who of fighters who had already been owned or were on their way out when he fought them or both.

Lol at the Juan Diaz rematch. That was worse than Pacquiao rematching Barrera. What has Katsidis done? What has Casamayor done?

lol...you making it sound like pac and marquez are not similar in size......pac is not a natural ww too but the only diffrence is pac can hang with the big guys , jmm cant......

i'm a pac fan but i disagree with ariza. pacman would rather fight bigger guys than a guy like marquez who is almost his height. like when marquez was offered to him as alternative to pu55y boy floyd he said, "the unfinished business is over." luckily for him schaefer had to side with pbf and had to be a pu55y also and demanded 50/50 purse split plus ost. pacman chose to fight huge clottey. he also opted to fight mosley instead of marquez saying, "fight will come out the same and it will be boring." my guess is that pacman hates counterpunchers. he wants to entertain the audience. he hates having to make the first move. (well, boxers, in general prefer to counter rather than do offense.) making the first move is disastrous when you are fighting a guy like marquez who is damn good moving backwards. (see his fight with katsidis.)

styles make fights. weight issues are way overrated in this forum. this is still a difficult fight for the pacman. he may lose this one by ud/sd.

lets get this right.
pacman fights bigger men who have to strangle down thier weight to create an advantage for himself.
it works like this, freddie asks alex what can he do with mannys weight then,
freddie makes a selection from a group of over the hill bigger men who will naturally struggle with weight loss and exploits then, tell uncle bob and then, uncle bob offers the opponent the fight at a catchweight discussed between freddie and alex.
the opponent naturally says yes because its a fight with !!!!PACMAN!!!!
this whole clever illusion of a manny being special is created by the above,
with a little help in one way or another.
he may not be taking drugs but he is not immortal.
even if he doesnt fight floyd he should fight without the unfair advantages freddie roach looks for such as catchweight fights with older men who have to drop weight to meet their "requirements".
if he fights floyd and wins then i would only acknoledge him as a modern great and not until then.
all this multiweight stuff is crap.
in the old days they didnt have super this or junior that or catchweight the other! they had(and should still have) fighters challenging bigger men with no weight restrictions. stanley ketchell took on the great jack johnson and even knocked him down before getting viciously kod by possibly what some say was the hardest punch even thrown in a ring.

if you have earned the power to call the shots why not grab it? in many cases, the challengers are pacman's opponents not the other way around, whether it be because he is the draw or the champ. in this case why see it as pacman is the challenger? marquez is the challenger, period. he is the one that has to prove something. marquez is also the one who is dying to make this fight happen.

pacman could have turned down this fight if he wanted to.

manny pacquiao is a blown up lightweight, ****, he probably really should be fighting at 130 if he CUT WEIGHT like other boxers. . . him and marquez are the SAME damn size! we have never even seen marquez fighting at 140 plus EXCEPT against mayweather, and the style matchup there, and mayweather's skill set, you can't look at that fight as the best indication of how marquez performs at higher weights. Pacman is going to finish this guy once and for all I stop liking Marquez when he fought Juan The Baby Bull Diaz when he said Diaz wasn't mexican because he was born in the U.S I was also born in the U.S and both my parents were born in mexico so I am a chicano and proud of it War Pacman. not only did he lose me as a fan but most all chicanos as well so watch what you say.
