Is it just me or are they finding bums for Canelo to defend his title against?

gomez is a good test, he's a bit underrated but canelo needs to fight more top 10 fighters

          he's already a world champ

Compared to Ryan Rhodes and Matthew Hatton, Gomez is very deserving.
            Agreed.

Yep, ok then, I will agree with you as well

This is an ok fight, I like that kid Gomez, he is an honest fighter, he brings it, and he has balls the size of pumpkins.

This is yet another development fight for the 20yo Canelo, and Gomez is exactly who he should be fighting at this point, world champion or not. Gomez is a step-up from Hatton, and Canelo is very much a work-in-progress.

Compared to Ryan Rhodes and Matthew Hatton, Gomez is a step up, not deserving, but we want deserving and good, really good if avalaible.

If he is a work in pogress then step down as a Champion and let some worthy boxer fight for and defend it.

I cant argue with you man, great point, but that is how the system works.

Dont blame me, blame the silly ****s that say things like "well, the XYZ looks to be the best sanctioning body in boxing", when the sanctioning bodies are clearly ALL ****, because none of them could possibly be definitive.

We are lowering our standards and accepting second-best, when we acknowledge an authority that could not possibly be correct or definitive..... and NONE of the four sanctioning bodies could possibly be definitive, because they will not recognise the other champions and they will not consistantly enforce mandatories.

I dare you to write to the WBC and ask them why they dont have Wladimir Klitschko ranked in their top 10?

And whilst you are putting pen to paper, ask them why they have Welliver, who I personally like, ranked above Povetkin?

ONE BELT, that is the answer, but..... it is a ridiculous pipedream.

I will accept your position on this situation, when Vusi Malinga happily walks away from his #1 spot, signs a petition to accept the authority of new global governing body, and is content to work his way back up from his new #25 spot the old fashioned way

Until then, Gomez is a good learning curve for a contender like Canelo.

That is just imho, I am sure that many will disagree, but good point about Canelo, I cant really argue with you.
