Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner: Marquez, Juarez Mentioned For Next Bout

According to sources close to undefeated junior lightweight Adrien Broner (21-0, 17 KOs), two potential opponents being tossed around for his next bout are Rocky Juarez and former two division champion Rafael Marquez. Broner, managed by Al Haymon and promoted by Golden Boy, needed just one round to dispatch Jason Litzau in his last fight, the HBO co-feature to Saul Alvarez's stoppage win over Ryan Rhodes last month.

both are decent fights, id prefer if broner went after a legit strap tho. he could prbably beat just about anyone in the division

Rafael Marquez? maybe that is just to get press. He went down to 122 again.
Rafael is fighting today and likely facing the WBC 122 Champ Toshiaki Nishioka in October.

God, do you guys realize there's a 4lbs difference between SFW and FW? They should eliminate that BS and just call it Featherweight. No more whining from whiners. Also stick 136-147 as WW. Do the same for all of those weight classes that are separated by 1 pound in the lower weights. That's pathetic.

I hope Broner gets Marquez and stops him earlier than Lopez did.

he's really a lightweight,i think he's just squeezing down to have all the advantages...he's probably waiting for rios to leave the division and he'll move back up...he's fought as a lightweight

Juarez is barely vertical...beyond shop-worn...Broner needs to get real and fight competition...
