    It just occurred to me that instead of the 5th pair of gloves, I'd prefer the address and phone number of the girl in your picture......... Just kidding.

        what I am saying though is that it shouldn't be the benchmark as to how to make fights

        guys like Gatti and Ward would never be on if this was the approach we took solely.

        one should look at the overall picture in making fights happen
        Aaah ok, good point.

          Why... because they ALWAYS vote ******** even if only a hopeless fool were the candidate. this is a deeply engrained LOYALTY relic of the early days of ***ish immigration when they received Social aid mostly from ********ic Organisations.{although much of the funding was supplied by charitable ********** sponsors}

          When it's business, they can understand each other better than others might, and can cut out a lot of posturing and messing around and get to the nub of the deal. And they make sure it's a good deal all round, both for themselves, the Sponsors and, particularly the fighters, to whom they have deep commitments. That's why Arum is the recognised best promoter for his fighters.
          Thats a good point.

                  Maybe. At least he won't be a descendant of "pigs and monkeys" as some like to say.

                  I'ts not logical that HBO will make the same mistake twice.

                    Didn't know, was just guessing since there are many ***s in the entertainment world, and Haymon (Hayman) is a recognisably ***ish name.

                    • Great news for boxing as a whole. It wasn't just lsoing the Pac-Shane fight, but years of biased decisions that cheated us fans and ripped off HBO's budget. Greenburg IMO was no better for the sport of boxing then Arum or Don King. Hopefully HBO hires someone with a true passion for sports in general but a special understanding of boxing and what is needed to get the sport back to its roots and popularity.

                      Lastly....can we plaese get more than 1 fight per night! I hate it when Championship boxing shows 1 fight....its a ****ty fight and the night is over. Bring back the double and triple headers and showcase some young talent and bring a hault to BS decisions that make the network look bad.
