It's not so true now, but at one point a decent number of the Khan fans and Calzaghe fans were very anti-Froch due to him upsetting them with his valid criticisms of their mancrushes.

Its got nothing to do with being European or white, but with being UKRAINIAN and East European. Americans don't like neither. Its a well known fact, just look at their tv shows today, none have ever featured a POSITIVE Russian/Ukrainian/East Euro character, none that I have ever watched anyway. I think Lennox was much more boring than the Klitschkos. There were some fights where all he did was jab and clinch at least with the Klitschkos they dont fight like there scared. It seems like im knocking Lennox he is a great heavyweight but he did have his fair share of boring fights.

Lennox Lewis wasn't liked in America at all, they robbed him against Holyfield, they always talked about his "weak chin", "his era was weak", they tried to find ANY FIGHTER that could beat him...kinda like they do Wlad now but for some reason people seem to forget that, or maybe they wasn't watching boxing back then or hell maybe some of you wasn't even born then LOL

Agree. Lennox didn't fully get his respect until he retired. It didn't help his cause that he got knocked out by a couple guys he should have beaten fairly easily. He did comeback and avenge those losses which is something Wlad or Vitali haven't done. With that being said, there was alot of hype for the K bros when they became hbo fighters...then Wlad got stopped and Vitali quit.

I think the fact that they are not American, their shortcomings are more magnified and scrutinized by Americans. I do feel that they are very good fighters and would do well in any era though. When they retire, I believe they will get more respect. Especially if someone they've defeated goes on to dominate.
