WTF who told you that because it is nonsense! Froch is probably the most liked British boxer, he's just not crossed over to the casual's and the mainstream.

Its not that people here don't like him its that he has not had any exposure. Mick Hennessey can be thanked for that.

It's not so true now, but at one point a decent number of the Khan fans and Calzaghe fans were very anti-Froch due to him upsetting them with his valid criticisms of their mancrushes.

They are always badguys, villains, thugs, sneering and mean.
          Very good point.

In the minds of some older Americans, the cold war is still going on, even though in reality it ended 20 years ago.

The movies and TV programs still have negative stereotypes of East Europeans.

Very often Wlad gets called "Drago" but in reality he's nothing like the Rocky 4 character at all.

He's not discriminated against at all. Its just that casual fans want to see somebody like Tyson who comes in and puts it all on the line not somebody who uses his brain and skills to tactically dominate. for that reason Wlad doesn't get the koudos he deserves.

I think Lennox was much more boring than the Klitschkos. There were some fights where all he did was jab and clinch at least with the Klitschkos they dont fight like there scared. It seems like im knocking Lennox he is a great heavyweight but he did have his fair share of boring fights.

Look at Floyd Mayweather Jr. He's American, black, and lives in Vegas (the boxing capital of the world). Americans hate his guts.
                  Very true!!!!!!

They need Emmanuel August as a ring style consultant.
He can teach them some moves.

Everyone enjoyed Augustus antics. The Klits could emulate him.

sadly the Wlad and Vitali gets painted as the "BIG BAD RUSSIAN IN ROCKY 4" in the US, it is extremely IGNORANT but America is like that, but yet many of you think it is BLACK THIS AND BLACK THAT but how soon do you forget that Lennox Lewis was HATED BY AMERICANS ALSO

Lennox Lewis wasn't liked in America at all, they robbed him against Holyfield, they always talked about his "weak chin", "his era was weak", they tried to find ANY FIGHTER that could beat him...kinda like they do Wlad now but for some reason people seem to forget that, or maybe they wasn't watching boxing back then or hell maybe some of you wasn't even born then LOL

if they wer AMERICANS, yes the media would hype them up all of the way and Networks would get behind them but because they are from the Ukraine which a lot of ignorant American fans quickly would say "THEY ARE RUSSIAN", I think that is the real reason why they don't get much coverage or get the respect they should and that is SAD AND PATHETIC!

so all this CRAP if Wlad was BLACK? No if Wlad was Black he would be LENNOX LEWIS, still probably wouldn't be liked in AMERICA and by most
Agree. Lennox didn't fully get his respect until he retired. It didn't help his cause that he got knocked out by a couple guys he should have beaten fairly easily. He did comeback and avenge those losses which is something Wlad or Vitali haven't done. With that being said, there was alot of hype for the K bros when they became hbo fighters...then Wlad got stopped and Vitali quit.

I think the fact that they are not American, their shortcomings are more magnified and scrutinized by Americans. I do feel that they are very good fighters and would do well in any era though. When they retire, I believe they will get more respect. Especially if someone they've defeated goes on to dominate.
