Sure, PBF is highly skilled but where are his great fights? Sosa, N'dou, Corley, Bruseles and Gatti, followed by AARP candidate Mitchell? PBF has done very little the last 2 1/2 years.

Corrales is a blood and guts old time fighter who delivers in the ring. I'll pay to watch one of his fights.

Overrated? In what sense? He has great fights against a consistently high level of opposition and is coming off one of the best fights ever. I wish we could get more like him. Castillo is from the same mould, and these two will surely put on another superfight in the rematch.

'Overrated' needs a context - overrated compared to what? Corrales has been fighting nothing but great fighters and great fights for years. Some others who fancy themselves as top P4P rated aren't doing anything to earn it - PBF comes to mind.

Ironically, PBF beat Corrales rather easily, struggled against Castillo first time, and done nothing since Castillo. Look at what Corrales has done since fighting PBF.

You tell me who's accomplishments are overrated. Who has accomplished more than Corrales in the last 3 years?

We saw that fight differently. I saw Casamayor (over-rated) whoopin Corrales. Freitas who isnt known for his boxing was outboxing Corrales. Would have lost that fight if Freitas decided to stay the course of the fight.

If the fight would have gone to points Chico would have won - as AF had been down in three successive rounds (therefore minimum of 10-8 rounds).

Even if you had Af winning the first 7 rounds it would have then been close - with Chico coming on real strong for the last 2-3 rounds.

Thats my estimation of Corrales. I like to watch him fight, but I think we have a slightly better Gatti on our hands.

Corrales destroyed Manfredy, Gatti didn't.

Arturo Gatti has never, ever, BEATEN anyone on the same level as Castillo, Frietas, or Casamayor.

Corrales is fighting & hanging with/beating the best in his division. Gatti avoided all of that.

Corrales was beaten terribly by Floyd Mayweather.....but, we're talking about a bad loss to one of boxing's all-time talent. Mayweather fights his best when most challenged...& going into their fight, Corrales was Floyd's biggest challenge to date.

Calling Corrales "overrated" is ridiculous. You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who would say he's one of the absolute (5th or above) best fighters in the world.
Where he's rated by the majority of real fight fans is where he belongs.

You cannot deny what he's accomplished, or question his resume.

The man is a winner.

If Castillo wins the title, maybe we'll see a champion who isn't going down 3 times every fight. I think its time for "new blood" on the scene.
