The first fight chico was getting blown out the waters Remember he was crying because the fight was stopped from a NASTY wound where he was bleed profusely? He knew he was losing that fight. He wanted to "come on" at the end of the fight.

Second fight, I wanted Corrales to win the fight but when it was score time I knew in my heart Casamayor eeked out a victory. But I was happy Corrales got the victory because I was hoping Id never see Casamayor again.

if your saying the first fight, im not sure i can respect your opinion anymore. casa was winning the fight, but only whopped corrales in one round, and in the next round, chico came out stronger than ever. if your talking about the second fight, it was a SLPIT decision

read the quote i had about corrales game plan
everything worked out the way they wanted it to.
the fight with freitas was CLOSE, no denying that
then chico knocked him down three times until freitas quit, yet your going to say that in this fight, freitas whopped corrales?
    please tell me your kidding

Yo...I think somebody should lay down the pipe and throw the rocks out the window. This thread is plain rediculous.
Which one would be next? "Ali is overrated bum" or "George foreman's power is overrated" or maybe "SRR fought in era of weak fighters and got many gift decisions"?

chico was NOT getting blown out!
he was about to win the fight, he had casa almost done when the round ended, and then the ref stopped it but chico was pissed bc he knew if thre was one more round in that fight he would have won

Well, I respect your opinion. Saturday night is a win win fight for me. As I truly do like both fighters.

I just get the impression sometimes on this board that Chico and Cotto as untouchable. Not the case at all, and I respect both fighters tremendously.

yet another "quality" post to promote the board here.. regardless of the opinion, i don't understand what the point of making a thread like this is. how bout we all just enjoy the upcoming fight and hope for the best?

Sure, PBF is highly skilled but where are his great fights? Sosa, N'dou, Corley, Bruseles and Gatti, followed by AARP candidate Mitchell? PBF has done very little the last 2 1/2 years.

Corrales is a blood and guts old time fighter who delivers in the ring. I'll pay to watch one of his fights.

Overrated? In what sense? He has great fights against a consistently high level of opposition and is coming off one of the best fights ever. I wish we could get more like him. Castillo is from the same mould, and these two will surely put on another superfight in the rematch.

Heart doesnt give you points on the scorecards.

Thats my estimation of Corrales. I like to watch him fight, but I think we have a slightly better Gatti on our hands.

what can you say.....the guy has devastating power for such a small frame, and at any given moment, his power can knock the **** outta somebody and turn around the whole fight. Thats what makes him so special...he has guts, can brawl with the best of them, and knock the **** outta ppl.
