Who remembers when Cintron was "breaking the ribs of sparring partners"

Just before the margarito fight on the failed espn ppv (a ppv in which they advertised the potential rounds 4 fights x12 rounds as a selling point). On Greg Leons formally interesting blog ********** there was so much talk about how cintron was just too powerful for his own good. He was green with little to no amatuer background and Margarito pretty much came and derailed his career and in my opinion he hasnt ever truely recovered.

it always seems like theres some issue with him, when he had steward there was a problem, then its the promoters then its this and that. The Williams fight for me was just the last straw, i see no reason to pull for this guy as he is sort of a journeyman at welterweight to me now

Oh well. Ever since he did that gay little dance on the ropes of the Sergio Martinez "draw" I've never really liked they guy.

Then he goes and jumps out of a ring.

He was, and is athletic and powerful.

His dedication is another thing. Their were many rumors about how he had to be dragged to the gym.

He started a bit late boxing and never had a high IQ in there.

He literally did the same duck to the side defensive move through out the second Margo fight.

Truthfully, he has only himself to blame. Yes, he lost to Antonio Margarito and that definitely put a stop to his careers progress, but guys come back from losses. However, he got a few meaningless wins and then wanted all the big guns. He gets in the ring with a few of them and then either loses or embarrasses himself and usually, it's both.

Instead of trying to cash in on the big boys, he should have just fought a few bums, beat someone meaningful and then cashed in. Instead, he changes trainers, then promotional teams and jumps around in and out of the ring before ever establishing anything.

Unless he can go back to Welterweight and knock someone out that matters, he's a journeyman at best.

He's not a mentally strong fighter, he depended too much on his power physical build. This became very apparent when he fought Feliciano, who bullied him and broke his spirit.

Cintron got a somewhat premature stoppage against him.

                    Yes he did.

                    He seemed very confident.
