Pavlik is pretty much a loser an addict an alcoholic who flushed his career down the bottle. Trained by a street paver with no knowledge of how to train a fighter Pavlik's career is over and has been over. Now he needs to try to save his life if not it's over also. Pavlik is basically a low life anyway ask around.

i'm pissed that everyone is a doom and gloomer about this guy because he has or had gotten drunk.....

bottom line is this, there is no reason for anyone to be casting judgement on pavlik, especially going off the article on boxingscene.........

i'm not one to be all defensive about sports figures or what have you, but even if he had been drinking, it doesn't say if he was drunk..........

i've had drinks tonight, i'm not drunk............. see what i'm getting at.....

now had the article said " pavlik was five times over the legal limit when he beat his brothers head flat "........ then i would say fire away.......

it didn't mention anything if his brother is a out of control drunk, who starts fights, or who drinks and talks mad shidt......... til someone smacks the crap out of him.........

the article says nothing, yet people are trashing him and marginalizing him with no evidence.......

this is a tough world.......... it seems once a khunt has your name in their mouth, you will never bee the same in this sport..........

The stuff like this on Boxingscene is just rewritten material from the original article, and if the writer is lazy, stuff gets left out. It's not like Boxingscene did an original story on this incident.

I do get your point -- when they say they had been drinking, that could be one beer each before they started fighting. It's vague for sure, but when you're a pretty famous alcoholic, people are going to assume the worst, and too often, they are correct.

Even one beer smells bad for kelly. It means his life is out of control again.
If the story is true, of course.

According to the Youngstown Vindicator, the hometown paper of Kelly Pavlik, the former middleweight champion was involved in a physical altercation with his brother, Michael Pavlik Jr., last Friday at their parents home. Youngstown police filed a report Friday stating that Kelly Pavlik, 29, and Michael Pavlik Jr., 35, were involved in a disagreement at the parents home.

I was about to say the same thing. It clearly says the police reports say the brothers were drinking.

When you get our of rehab, you are not supposed to have a single alcoholic beverage period and dragging your brother through a window doesn't look good either.
