there were rounds where Lara ONLY LANDED 3 or 4 lefts and nothing else, but Williams was pushing forward, and was much busier.....

It was a good, close fight....
if the panel influences you more than the actual fight then you have no business making clear decisions about anything about boxing. you know how many times ive heard Lampley, Kellerman, and Steward favor someone or pick someone apart no matter what the outcome might have been? the thing is they are rarely in agreement. for this fight EVERYONE was disgusted with the decision. the only people who think Paul won, is the two blind judges, Paul's corner, Paul's promoter, YOU, and Paul himself.

hbo is biased towards accurate fighters.

Hbo had Calzaghe beating Hopkins tho. So wouldn't what you just said be incorrect since you felt Hopkins won?

All i keep hearing you say is Paul is the busier fighter. Being a busy fighter doesnt win you fights. Its landing CLEAN AND EFFECTIVE SHOTS!!!!! How hard is that to get through some peoples ******** heads? For crying out loud Paul in reality won 2 rounds 3 MAYBE but thats stretching it.

**** you guys need to give your head a shake and chill out and have a drink this is pissing me the hell off. Paul Williams sucks compared to the Martinez'z and the Laras.

You dont have to mute it. Just dont let it influnce you. Anyways, I thought Lara clearly won the next 3 rounds to go up 5-4. I also thought he clearly won the 12th round which gives him a 6-4 advantage. In rounds 10 & 11 you could go either way to me, including a draw in them. Lara landed the big blows but Williams outworked him and it added up. Therefore, I could see a judge having it 8-4 for Lara, 6-6, or anything in between

I like the sense of drama in HTown's post.

He does that when he's drunk too.

                Round 10- punch stats

                Williams: 19/104, 18%
                Lara: 19/ 48, 40%

                Round 11 - punch stats

                Williams: 13/89, 15%
                Lara: 18/48, 38%

I don't see it and the stats say otherwise....Lara was clearly more effective and much more efficient...ala Mayweather...who never loses.

williams threw bs punches with no pop behind them. laras shots was knocking him out of boxing trunks. 1 thing i hold against lara is that he could have went for the ko imo cuz williams was there to be put to sleep. either way lara still spanked him.

just look at the numbers. P Will was swinging the bat a million times but it was Lara who was having the big batting average and more runs and rbis. p will didnt stun him or NOTHING. easy win for lara

no because calzaghe landed more punches at a higher connect rate according to compubox so it must be true! also calzaghe vs roy jones on hbo ppv was a done deal if calzaghe won but i'm sure that had nothing to do with it...
