He beat the former baddest man on the planet Mike Tyson
    He survived Evander Holyfield
He beat the current heavyweight knockout champ Vitali Klitschko
He went toe-2-toe and won a decision from David Tua
He knocked out Andrew Golota in the first round
He got his revenge and knocked out Hasim Rahman
He faced one of the most dangerous fighters Donovon Ruddock

He has only 2 losses from Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall
which he got revenge on both with stunning knockouts.

Is he the best heavyweight of his era or is he overrated?

I personally think he is the greatest heavyweight hes fought the
greatest fighters and hes beat the greatest fighters.
Wasn't very fun to watch but I truly think he will go down as one of the greatest of all times and I would have put money on him to beat prime Ali or prime Louis.

Late stoppage over Louis and outpointing Ali. Lenox could box. Used his big size to be a ring general. He just didn't give us very exciting fights. That is why he will be looked upon with diff eyes in say 10-20 years. It will take that long for people to forget how slow paced he fought. He just will never compare to a knock out artist like pre 90s Tyson.

Lennox Lewis: One of the most overrated Heavyweights?

I think this title should've read like my title. Nuff said!

Hell no!! Evanderin his prime was a much better champ. As a matter of fact Lewis couldn't even finish a washed up evander that right there isgood enough to say no.Plus his ko losses to Rahman and Oliver "Ithink I'm gonna cry" McCall make even more of an arguement.Beating Tyson meant nothing he was washed up since 96.Face it Lennox ****** people all he did was fight past their prime legends and people call him great? hahaha I never will. Also the one guy he did fight in his prime sent him into retirement.

Wlad would get beat by Lennox Lewis. Who ta ****in idiot said Wlad KO Lewis in 4??? What an ass licker. Find sumthing else to do, moron!

Ey. listen, Wlad was successful gainst Pete, cuz he was able to hug ta shyt outa him! Lewis is bigga than Wlad and I don;'t think that "new" huggin shyt would werk. Lewis would ova power Wlad and jest end up knocking him out!!! Lewis has one of ta best straight rights and ova right hands in ta game! Shyt, his jab alone would give Wlad problems.

Anyone who picks Lewis to beat Ali and Louis in a prime for prime match knows nothing of their boxing history. How can you compare a guy who fought in the greatest HW era and dominated all the guys pretty much (Ali), to a guy who fought in one of the weakest? The same goes for Louis, who fought in a stronger era than Lennox did.

Ali did fight in one of the greatest periods but don't forget styles make fights. Lewis is smarter and would have rocked Ali from a distance. He was old but he did lose to Berbick and Holmes.... I do think it would have been a good fight but sitting here thinking about it, I think Lewis would have got him on points.

Far as Louis goes. You have to give the man credit for defending his title for so long. However it was common for him to get hit and staggered. Having a huge man like Lewis commanding the ring on you, I don't think he would have had a chance, not even a slight chance. Sorry but it is how I feel. Go back and look how many times Louis went down in the first round. Those guys back then liked to brawl (styles make fights), Lewis would have never gave him that chance and would have stopped Louis early. Easy TKO <6
