Lewis sold his IBF title to Don King and then he retired
What are you smoking Tyson was a 2-1 underdog on paper, but in reality a 30-1 underdogg.

I dont know what your smoking either. Wlads right hand matches Lewises any day, and his jab exceeds Lewises any day. No way was Lewises jab sharper and more accurate. It was more stiff, but Wlad throws his with authority and power. His jab is compared to Holmes, Lewis just doesn't have as good of a jab as Wladimir.

Wladimir has a better offensive arsenal than Lewis, when it comes to Hooks, Rights, Jabs, Lewis has a better uppercut.

if ur joking, its not funny.
if ur serious, you should be shot.

it is unanimously agreed that the john the bum ruiz/evander holyfield trilogy was one of the WORST and most BORING fights in the history of boxing. and the fact that it was 1-1-1 is truely pathetic on both fighters parts.

I agree. I never saw Lewis throw:

Left hook, Left hook, Left hook, Jab, Jab, Left hook before.

He beat the former baddest man on the planet Mike Tyson
            He survived Evander Holyfield
He beat the current heavyweight knockout champ Vitali Klitschko
He went toe-2-toe and won a decision from David Tua
He knocked out Andrew Golota in the first round
He got his revenge and knocked out Hasim Rahman
He faced one of the most dangerous fighters Donovon Ruddock

He has only 2 losses from Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall
which he got revenge on both with stunning knockouts.

Is he the best heavyweight of his era or is he overrated?

I personally think he is the greatest heavyweight hes fought the
greatest fighters and hes beat the greatest fighters.
Enlighten me as to how he "survived" Holyfield by winning 17 of the 24 rounds they shared?

It's about ****ing time someone got that right. Holmes was better than Lewis. Holmes would beat Lewis 2 of 3 times, should they have the trilogy, he might even take all three. It's incredible how underrated Holmes is still.

He gave a real bad cut to Klitschko so the match was stopped.
He beat Mike Tyson and Lewis and Tysons age is the same so u can also say lewis wasnt in his prime either.
Age does not equal prime. Tyson was out of his prime after jail time, and you can see it. There's a progression with Tyson, he's in his prime 86-88, and after that it's all downhill. It's especially noticable after incarceration that Tyson is not the same fighter he was in the 80's. Anyone who uses the Tyson fight as a boost for Lewis is a ******. If Lewis was great for beating Tyson, so are Danny Williams, and Kevin McBride.

That's true, but OG's point still stands. Lewis KO's Wlad in brutal fashion.

Are you ******ed? Holmes is a top 10 all time heavyweight. Lewis would be lucky to beat him. Holmes would give him the best fight out of all those given. Toney would lose big because Lewis was A) a good boxer, and B) a smart boxer. He's leagues above all the bums that Toney has to choose from now. You're talking about two top 15 heavies (Lewis and Holmes; I don't know where I put Lewis, but definitely top 15), and James Toney, a top p4p guy, but not a top 15 heavy. That's ludicrous to even suggest that Lewis would walk over Larry Holmes.

Greatest of his era, no doubt, but I can't rank him top 5 because of the weak era he fought in, coupled with two KO losses, and some unanswered questions when he retired.

Also, I see why no one else was responding to the topic starter, and just discussing within the topic: he's ****ing dumb.

This is something more humorous of the typical Nut Hugger.

Vitali Klitschko couldn't beat and old and inactive Lennox Lewis without having his faced turned into mud pie.

You might as well have just come out and said "my feelings are still hurt".
